Hours after it was announced that what was thought to be a noose was a garage door pull and no hate crime was directed at Bubba Wallace at Talladega Superspeedway, Richard Petty Motorsports reacted the investigation.
“On Sunday, June 21, members of Richard Petty Motorsports discovered a rope tied in fashion of a noose in the garage stall assigned to the team at the Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway,” the statement said. “In accordance with established protocols, our team member notified the crew chief who notified NASCAR of the presence of the item in the garage stall. NASCAR leadership determined the course of action going forward with an immediate investigation into the item and its possible origins. In the early stages of the investigation, NASCAR’s Steve Phelps notified Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr., of the information gathered and the presence of the item in the garage stall of his team.
“Richard Petty Motorsports fully cooperated with NASCAR and authorities as they conducted an investigation into the situation. As a result of further investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), it was found that the item was not directed towards Wallace or members of the team. No member of Richard Petty Motorsports nor Wallace had any involvement with the presence of the rope.
“We are thankful for the swift and thorough investigation by NASCAR and all of the authorities involved. We are also appreciative of the support from NASCAR, the motorsports industry, and our fans."

Well, now that the FBI has cleared up that mess - maybe they can look into the two black guys that beat that Macy's employee to a pulp.
I know it's not on the same level of hate crime as a garage door pull but maybe they can spare an agent to look into it.

Already happened. In some park, some black Cross-fiters put up improvised gymnastic ropes in trees. Someone complained, and despite the ropes being put up by Cross-fitters (who happened to be black), they were deemed racist “no matter what”.

An old great boss I once had...told me...son, never jump off the cliff until you know exactly where you are going and, never open your mouth until you have all the true facts to speak of..period!!!
Sadly, within a year if, Mr. Wallace does not admit & publicly apologize he made a foolish mistake and spoke too early...he will be a nobody that could have been a very successful and famous NASCAR Racing Champion.
Mr. Wallace needs to apologize to Richard Petty, his NASCAR brothers, NASCAR and John & Jane public, the NASCAR fans...today!!! Look Wallace is a young kid and young kids As for his race feelings & treatment, They are fine, but should be used in pursuit of equality, fairness, and opportunity!!! He badly needs to drink a cup of maturing tea. Hanging out with CNN, Don Lemon, etc. is a wise way to win a NASCAR Championship!!! Mr. Wallace has gifted, supreme driving talent and skills...he should use them on the track..period and he will be much better off!!!

Imagine a 1/4” garage door pull rope with a knot with a loop on the end. Yes it’s attached to the garage door! There are pictures of it that way in that stall in 2019.
It’s absolutely pathetic.
Releasing some pathetic statement and thinking things will go away won’t work and just makes Noosecar look like they are doubling down hiding something. There are endless questions about this that haven’t been answered which will not go away…
- When exactly was the piece of rope in the garage bay found?
- What position was the rope in and was it disturbed before pictures were taken before it could be properly documented in its undisturbed state?
- Who found the rope first? Who was all in the bay when the rope was found?
- What exactly was the chain of events that transpired immediately after rope was found?
- Who is believed to be the last person (people) who was/were in the bay before the rope was found, when was that specifically and is there evidence to verify that?
- Why have pictures of the rope not been made available?
- What forensics have been done on the rope to establish where it came from?
- The pull rope for Bay 4 looks like it has been cut… can it be confirmed that the rope found in the bay matches the remaining piece that was still attached to the door?
- Bubba Smolett is on record as saying that it was a ‘straight up noose’. Is he saying that the rope piece in question is different than the rope with a loop in them that are used for the bay doors? Is there not a conflict between what Bubba Smolett is saying and what the FBI said when they investigated? By ‘straight up noose’…. Is Bubba Smolett saying that the room had a slip feature about that reflected the definition of a classical noose? Or is he just referring to a rope loop and calling that a ‘straight up noose’?
- Have all the other garage bays been investigated and can it now be confirmed that all the ropes hanging from all the bay doors are essentially identical?
- A description is needed of all the loops on the ends of these ropes… were these ropes for the doors all supplied without loops on them in which case the loops were made by somebody sometime when the ropes were orginally installed? Or are these loops ‘factory formed’ where the loop is actually woven into and potentially glued into the rest of the rope?
- ?????? ________________ lots of other similar question so have at it…..
Given that everyone working there had to be well aware of the existence of pull ropes on the doors, how was it possible for everyone to line up and push Bubba Smolett’s car to the line in a show of solidarity without a single person raising their hand to say “wait a minute… isn’t that the same as the pull ropes that are on every door”?
So, on other words, no one had ever seen a rope in a garage stall before, and wasn’t the same rope in the garage next to it?
Clearly, Petty thought he’d get a little traction with this hoax mainly in sponsorships.
