NASCAR president Steve Phelps said there are not a lot of answers yet in regard to an investigation into a noose that was left in driver Bubba Wallace’s garage at the Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.

These garages have all sorts of security cameras to protect against spying by competitors. There must be video of this.
My humble prediction, some NASCAR mouthpiece will say it was a big misunderstanding quickly followed up by some face saving CYA tripe about how this incident underscores the need for us to come to grips with “systemic racism” and blah blah blah
It would be more meaningful if Bubba and the perp settled maters behind the garage.
Has anyone posed the question as to was it planted in his garage to elicit sympathy for the only black driver in NASCAR? How many times has this accusation be made only to find out it was a lie? I’m waiting for that to be answered in a few weeks.
Through their smarmy actions Nascar has effectively banned me for. Pathetic pandering losers.
And they made a YUGE production of the other drivers pushing his car out and they blathered on for severak minutes about how beautiful it was.
The “investigation” is barely under way and all this.

Wait a second so NASCAR hasn’t released the name , details or footage and now we are finding out Bubba never saw the noose? What is going on here? Who is the member of the team that brought it to NASCAR’s attention?

I really do think it is strange that we have not seen a picture of this noose hanging in his garage.
It seems that is the basis for this entire story, and it should have been easy to snap a photo of it.
I also still can’t believe that just anybody can walk into a hanger and get access to a car the day before a race. Don’t they have to inspect those things and then lock them down so nobody does anything illegal to them? Don’t they worry about fans coming in and stealing memorabilia? Nobody could get into my garage and put up a noose without breaking and entering — and yet they have not said there was any sign of anybody breaking in.
It wouldn’t take even 15 minutes to investigate this. So, what is tge hold up?
Some electricians wrap their cords in a specific way so they dont get tangled and it is super fast to do. I have a neighbor that taught me how to do it. It does kind of look like a noose if you have an extremely overactive imagination.
