As a renowned foodie there aren't many dishes that could faze him. So Gordon Ramsay didn't think twice as he tucked into a swamp rat stew whilst filming his National Geographic series, Uncharted. The potty-mouthed chef, 53, helped catch and kill a semiaquatic rodent known as a coypu or nutria whilst in the Southern American state of Louisiana.

LOL!

Better than eating Wuhan bat.
Sounds like a Bob Sacamano pitch line.
Muskrat, raccoon, squirrel

You have to treat fur properly to keep it nice smelling. It can get musty and of course it collects dust and over time the dust begins to stink.
You should store your furs in a dry closet with a cotton cover to keep it nice longer. If it starts to smell, sprinkle with baking soda, let sit over night and then gently dust to remove the soda.
Or take it to an expert for cleaning and storage.
A rat hat?
I took them to an expert. They just laughed at me. I dont need to have a fur coat now, 50 years later.
And a poorly made one, even by rat hat standards!
Someone gave my mom some nice furs and she gave me the job of keeping them clean and sweet smelling until we could find a buyer. We were heading for the tropics at the time and fur was not really needed.
:)
The Southern Grill in Ellendale, DE ( Delmarva peninsula) features a Muskrat dinner special on Wednesday nights. It was featured on the show Restaurant Impossible last fall. My son has wanted to try it as we pass by there frequently but it is closed right now- likely due to Covid. Not a takeout place.
Invasive Nutria are devastating areas in the south.
Eating them is a good way to curb the population.
Just like the wild pigs.
No limit harvesting. Feed the starving people!
I always found him somewhat snobby but then I watched his daughter’s cooking show which featured the entire family and changed my opinion. Unless it was totally fake, Gordon and his wife appear to have raised some nice children who don’t come across as holier than thou, nothing like a Kardashian. My gut reaction tells me the Ramsay’s disciplined their children and enjoy spending a lot of family time together.
Not about to put baking soda on blackgamma mink.
I pass through Ellendale all the time - AT 25 MPH!
Had no idea they offered such cuisine.
LOL, when I think of this classic from Fawlty Towers, I always imagine this was Gordon as a kid...

“He’s rather highly strung.”
“Yes, yes, he should be!”
Yes- NEVER exceed 25 MPH in Ellendale!!!! Heres a pic of their muskrat dinner!
