I had a muskrat coat once. It got smelly so I sold it at a garage sale. I also had a gorilla fur coat. Again, it got smelly.

You have to treat fur properly to keep it nice smelling. It can get musty and of course it collects dust and over time the dust begins to stink.

You should store your furs in a dry closet with a cotton cover to keep it nice longer. If it starts to smell, sprinkle with baking soda, let sit over night and then gently dust to remove the soda.

Or take it to an expert for cleaning and storage.

I took them to an expert. They just laughed at me. I don’t need to have a fur coat now, 50 years later.
