Prince Harry has backed the moves to ban Swing Low, Sweet Chariot from rugby games due to its association with slavery.
He has sung the rugby anthem many times since childhood and he is a fan and patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
Prince Harry has signaled support for the RFUs review into the song, written by Wallace Willis, a freed Oklahoma slave, in light of the Black Lives Matter movement, The Sunday Times reported.
The anthem rings around the stands at Twickenham and is being reviewed by the RFU, which has launched a wide-ranging probe into racism.
Written by a black slave in the American South during the nineteenth century, the song was first belted out by supporters when two black wingers Martin Offiah and Chris Oti became sporting heroes on the pitch at the end of the 1980s.
Prince Harry follows Meghan Markles lead, as a close friend said that her instinct to leave the UK and move to California makes sense to her now.

And his wife said the other day, to paraphrase, that it was somehow destiny or fate, that she is now back in America, to be here to fight racism.
Nice virtue signaling from this royal couple.
They could sing...
this is an anti-slavery song written by a former slave.
being against this song is declaring yourself to be a racist
Meghan is the biggest opportunist. She has delusions of grandeur.
What about De Camptown Ladies?
Sheer stupidity. Instead of songs of slaves singing of salvation, lets simply erase them from history entirely.
Good! I hate that song. Boring song.
well he and meghan have sure regained their stature
Harry is such a freaking cuck!
They aren’t reviewing its use because they find it boring. Their “reasons” are far more sinister.
Precisely. All the true racists are taking the masks off now.
Given as he has abandoned his country, family and duty, I don’t see how he has any say in the matter.
Don’t let facts get in the way
i’m assuming Blazing Saddles will be banned soon.
“I get no kick from champagne....”
Maybe they should get rid of the hymn “Amazing Grace” while they’re at it. It was written by John Newton who at one time had no religious beliefs, and after being pressed into the Royal Navy, and upon leaving that service, became involved in the slave trade. After surviving a harrowing storm at sea, he went on to study Christian theology, and was eventually ordained. The hymn sends the message that no matter your sin, you can be forgiven, and be redeemed through the mercy of God. “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” is a black spiritual song. It’s in the National Recording Registry. This madness has to stop. I am so sick of this country’s history being attacked by a group of people who have no real knowledge of any of it.
I wonder if this message is in before the Royals' Asslickers got here?
Dear Prince Harry, since the word slavery has the letters s and r you will no longer use them Prince Ha!
