Please don’t spoil the message. Campaign staff please go thru the lines and ask that no rebel flags are flown. Anti-Trumpers are sure to have them there to stage for the media. Be smarter than the other side.
I’ve just always been leery of that “undecided voter” thing. The first time I could vote was in 1988. The first time I stated paying attention to politics was in 1976 (weird kid in a weird family). Even with the comparatively limited media we had in 1988, I just couldn’t believe that anyone would vote based on something in the last couple of days. 2000 showed that it could be true with the “W” DUI reveal, but even that seemed pretty thin. Some votes were changed, but not many.
My personal (the only kind) belief is that the “middle” or “Silent Majority” was always the white middle-class and that those people have been replaced through immigration, both legal and illegal. Well, that and they have been medicated into an obese stupor. I think their last outburst was 2016, and that Trump had 2 years to lock things down, and was blocked by Paul Ryan and the Deep State. Bottom line: I think things are going to collapse before they get better. I have hope for my grandchildren, but my final 25 or so years will not be pretty.
That’s my blackpill for today. Tomorrow, I’m going to the gun range in the morning and the golf range in the morning. Tomorrow will be a better day.

I think you have struck the nail on the head and I agree with you in this instance.
Don’t make Confederate flag a subject that the leftist media can harp on to divert the attention of the suburban, guilt ridden, low information voters from the President’s message. Don’t make it easy for the MSM. Display the American flag in abundance and if the MSM attacks that then they will look stupid even to the low information voters.
You don't get it. Even if there aren't any Confederate or other flag there, the media will report that there was. They'll take anything, a sign, something someone is wearing, and they'll run with it. There may be restrictions on what people can bring in. If the Trump campaign wants to set those restrictions, it's they're right. I'm more concerned about the safety of the President and of the people attending, to be worried about what the media is focusing on. They will do what they do best...lie, and make a mountain out of a molehill, no matter what it is.
So? They will call everyone “Nazis”, too, so bring a Nazi flag? Now, I know you get all upset when someone “puts words in your mouth” or “draws a logical inference from what you said”, so, please, explain the difference. Otherwise, I guess we can put you down for a Swastika in Tulsa because the media will say it anyway.
Of course the media will lie. Old conservatives will DR3 as an ineffectual way of retaliating. Build a movement around the American flag and American values. Something that has a chance. If you bring a Confederate flag to the Trump rally, are you helping or hurting Donald Trump’s re-election chances? That’s a direct question. Let’s see if you have the honesty to answer it directly.

No, I don’t understand it. I think taking a Confederate flag to a Trump rally is stupid if you want Trump to win. You have done nothing to convince me otherwise. I don’t think “they will call you racist anyway” is a compelling reason. Along the line of that logic ...

FR hasn’t been this much fun since Bush’s party hacks were hunting immigration patriots and zotting them for being “racist xenophobes”. And then just like that, everyone began to wonder where the enormous illegal alien problem came from.
This time the juggernaut is barreling ahead in a full blown culture war, and once again it’s aiding its enemies. The juggernaut loves the divisive and simple minded history promoted by frauds like D’Souza. Limbaugh was spouting that same nonsense today so it will become even more entrenched and popular than it already is. And in a few short years that crew will be astounded as the war on American culture goes after the Founders and eradicates them.
That’s already started of course. The slow learners haven’t figured out that it’s not going to stop at The Evil Battle Flag and the never hurt anyone Aunt Jemima. So get your popcorn. I’m sure that there were some Romans who figured out that the Fall was occuring and who took the time to watch the collapse. We can emulate them because nothing is going to stop it.
Both D’Souza and Rush have said it’s not going to stop, that it is going to keep going , going after the Founders and more, including Lincoln, etc. I don’t think anyone out there ever believed it would stop with just a few Confederate statues.
Play by their rules. It is time.
You might want to reexamine that. Not a state, but other than Cherokee, Oklahoma Indian tribes aligned with the Confederacy.

I think a lot of people miss my point. It’s not about being macho, It’s about being smart. The rebel flag does not represent me. The American flag does. The press is just waiting for any sign that perpetuates this myth that we’re a bunch of white supremacists.

I have no particular objection to the CBF in general - those who want to identify with it don’t need to ask my blessing. But, after 185+ posts, isn’t it obvious to everyone else just how divisive this flag is?
Personally, If I were able to attend I’d be rooting him on - waving the star spangled banner, the flag of my country.
