Flubros and Flubras! Day 91 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

There are a few threads about contact tracing programs being automatically downloaded onto cell phones. Apparently this is why 25 million cell phones disappeared in China almost overnight a few months ago. A few had the theory that 25 million died, but this sounds more reasonable. I didn’t realize Chinese people appreciate freedom so much as to get rid of their phone. But the prospect of forced quarantines are not appealing to anybody. We certainly don’t want want forced quarantines of those who come in contact with the virus in the USA. Contact tracing is also a Democrat idea, in case you didn’t know.

Still, we have among us, those who would jealously protect their right to personal freedom and choice while, at the same time, agree to allowing others to choose for them when considering “Orders” regarding masks and distancing.

I am a freeman and make my own choices.
Sometimes they aren’t right but I own them.
Those that portend to speak for my own safety own me...if I go along.

Does COVID-19 truly warrant a nationwide shutdown?

No, and that has been made increasingly clear. The predicted dire need for hospital beds did not overall materialize, while the great fear of outside contact is hardly rational,[1] with one study of 318 outbreaks involving 1,245 cases in China finding just one transmission that occurred outdoors, infecting just two people. Most of those who were infected and died were occurred at home..[2] Up to eighty percent of people who become infected with the virus have either no symptoms or experience it as a mild respiratory infection,[3] especially elder care facilities which account for over 40% of US deaths.[4]

If close to half of all COVID-19 deaths have occurred in long-term care facilities then that means that the 99.4 percent of the country that does not reside in those facilities is roughly half as likely to die of COVID-19,[5] even to the fatality rate of COVID-19 probably being “0.13 percent for people outside nursing homes and 0.26 percent — identical to the CDC best estimate — when people in nursing homes were included.”[6]

Even with a worse-case example - far removed from the average[7] - Word Meters finds that New York City (May 1) had an Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) of 1.4% and a 0.28% crude mortality rate (CMR) to date, or 279 deaths per 100,000 population.[8] (In New York city there is normally a a death every 9.1 minutes.[9] and primarily due to its COVID-19 death rate New York state constitutes about 29% of all reported COVID-19 deaths as of May 26, with over 19,000 deaths per million,[10] and which heavily affects the overall mortality rate of the US.[11])

(From New York State, posted on https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/06/ny-gov-cuomo-ays-its-shocking-most-new-coronavirus-hospitalizations-are-people-staying-home.html)

Up to about 80 percent of those infected with COVID-19 are estimated to be silent carriers, [12][13] meaning they show no symptoms, and the New York City labor and delivery unit found 88 percent of infected patients had no symptoms, [14] while over 600 sailors on the coronavirus-stricken aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt tested positive, yet 60% of them had no symptoms such as fever, fatigue, or cough,[15]and in four U.S. state prisons nearly 3,300 inmates test positive for coronavirus yet 96% were without symptoms[16] and or recover without medical care[17]) Which means that the infected fatality rate is much lower than the misleading case fatality rate that is usually quoted.

Then in early June even the WHO stated that asymptomatic spread of coronavirus is “very rare.”[18] though it later expressed that this is debatable.[19] Meanwhile the vast majority of those who die because of Covid-19 are 65 years-old or more[20] and with almost 25% of all documented Covid-assigned (which does not mean the subject was tested for Covid) fatalities in the US (91,976 as of May 18 at 8:49PM EDT) are from New York (28,480)[21] and according to one report 54% of all U.S. deaths were in the 100 counties in or within 100 miles of NYC.

And the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that almost 90 percent of U.S. coronavirus patients who have been hospitalized had underlying health problems, or comorbidities.[22]

And which relates to the issue of inaccurate fatality numbers, partly due to the problem of determining the actual cause of death and the CDC guidelines which allow for reporting COVID-19 as the “probable” or “presumed” cause on the death certificate if the certifier even suspects COVID-19 was likely (e.g., the circumstances were compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty), the cause.[23] Which resulted in NYC suddenly adding 3,700 additional people to its death count[24](also, Federal legislation pays hospitals higher Medicare rates for COVID-19 patients and treatment[25]), leading to charges of over-counting[26][27] while Pennsylvania removed some after coroner reports.[28] Later, Colorado’s Health Department revised their official coronavirus death count from 1,150 as of May 15 downward to 878 (a reduction of 23.7 percent) and created two separate distinguishing categories, one of people who died directly because of the virus and another of people who had COVID-19 at their time of death but died of other causes that may not be attributable to the virus.[29][30] However, some others believe the problem is more that of under-counting. [31]

Also, another study finds that the risk of coronavirus spreading in schools is 'extremely low'.[32]

And while states continue to parrot the “stay sheltered” mantra, research shows that sunlight destroys virus quickly[33], and even a Department of Homeland Security official affirmed that increasing temperatures, humidity and sunlight are detrimental to coronavirus saliva droplets on surfaces and in the air.[34] Also, over 600 doctors signed onto a letter sent to President Trump favoring an end the "national shutdown," referring to it as being a "mass casualty incident" with "exponentially growing health consequences."[35]

Yet miles upon miles of parks and public waterfronts are shutdown, and for too long NY put infected persons in nursing homes[36] (and as of April 26, about 40 percent of COVID-19 deaths were in the state of New York alone. New Jersey was in second place, with nearly 5,900[37]yet the death rate is uncritically employed to justify nationwide lockdowns) while in states such as Illinois law-breaking prisoners were released from their “quarantine” - including some “high risk” sexual offenders[38] and some convicted of murder - [39] and almost a third of county jail inmates have been released from facilities during the coronavirus pandemic.[40] Meanwhile over 2,000[41] of the most vulnerable souls a day in “quarantine” - their mother’s womb - are murdered, many by the same persons claim to be for protecting the vulnerable.

Moreover, the extremely restrictive all-ages long-term response to COVID-19 simply has no precedent in American history except (to a degree) that of the 1918 flu (in which baseball was still played) which up t 675,000 deaths are attributed.[42]

The Asian flu pandemic of 1957-1958 resulted in a estimated 116,000 deaths in America[43] (followed by the Hong Kong flu with about est. 100,000 American deaths in 1968–69), when at about 173,000,000, the population size in 57-58 was close to half of what it is now (330,541,000, rounded figures).

Meaning that not only was the infection death rate much higher than for COVID-19, but there would have to be about 200,000 COVID-19 est. deaths to be comparable to the Asian flu as regards percentaged of population. Yet that would simply make it basically equal as concerns the numbers of deaths in proportion to population size, but to justify the "CovidCaptivity," one would have to argue that the Asian flu should have necessitated a response like that to COVID-19. The Soviets would have favored that for sure.

The question then is, where was the COVID-19 comparative response in 57-58 in proportion to its threat? Yes, the 116,000 deaths in America to the Asian flu was for the whole year, yet even if we reach about 200,000 deaths (we pray not) for COVID-19 then that type of equality would still mean that the extremely restrictive all-ages long-term response to COVID-19 simply has no precedent in American history, except to a degree with the far more deadly (550,000 to 675,000 Americans, or 0.66% of the population) 1918 flu.

And during which medics found that severely ill flu patients nursed outdoors recovered better than those treated indoors. A combination of fresh air and sunlight seems to have prevented deaths among patients; and infections among medical staff. [44]

Finally, the long-term cost for the questionable[45]“cure” - as meaning preventing deaths via the stay-sheltered COVID captivity - will be more costly in lives and money [46] including psychosocial consequences[47] than a more moderate response that would allow for a faster rise in cases but a better decrease and overall a more healthy populace in the long run. [48][49][50]

Economically, estimates project total losses in state and local revenue of up to 45 percent, effecting 90,000 nonfederal-government entities that provide and pay for most of the government services that Americans receive.[51] And while states look to the Federal government to bail them out, the additional costs and declining revenues stemming from Covid-19 are expected to produce a 2020 budget deficit in excess of $4.2 trillion.[52]

And most of government income comes from taxes, via businesses and those who are employed ( income taxes, payroll taxes, and corporate taxes)[53], yet businesses are failing across America, and in New York alone the governor stated that small businesses constitute “90 percent of New York's businesses” and “more than 100,000 have shut permanently since the pandemic hit.”[54]

Moreover (as of May 20), with 2.43 million in America filing for an unemployment,[55] the rate is at least 20%.[56] Also, according to one meta-analysis of 42 studies involving 20 million people, the risk of death increases 63 percent when one loses their job, and that for every one percentage point increase in the unemployment rate, there are 37,000 deaths, mainly from heart attacks, but another 1,000 from suicides and another 650 from homicides.[57]

And as concerns just suicide, we have reports such as “Calls to suicide and help hotline in Los Angeles increase 8,000% due to coronavirus,”[58] and “Doctors at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek say they have seen more deaths by suicide during this quarantine period than deaths from the COVID-19 virus,”[59]

Yet while we seek to save lives, 7,000 Americans die every day in the US from a wide range of causes [60] - besides over 2,000 a day being slain in the “quarantine” of their mother’s womb[61] - my prayer is that all sinners will come to repentance and faith in the risen Lord Jesus and be baptized and follow Him.

Hope this helps. PeaceByJesus

Our hospital has four CV patients, and yesterday the ICU was covid free for the first time since February.

As long as the ICU has capacity, we have to let this thing run. Protect the old and infirm. But without a balance we will ruin the economy, keep idiots on the streets, and put MORE people at risk later in the year.

The ICU and hospitalizations are the key factors here.

The incinerators were real. What they were burning hasn’t ever been confirmed.

The fires were not visible from space. What was detected from air pollution monitors was a HUGE increase in sulfur dioxide—which is significant component of burning human remains.

Those plumes were off the charts for the areas around Wuhan.

I guess you have to come to your own conclusions from the information that is available. But, when your information is based on rumors you read on FR comment threads you will ALWAYs come up with an incorrect conclusion.

+747 DEAD +27,924 NEW CASES 120,688 TOTAL DEAD

Actually, while there is no "the flu, but as regards "a flu," the Asian flu of 57-58 was responsible for the equivalent of about 200,000 deaths today (CDC: 116,000 when the population was approx. 173,000,000, versus approx 331,000,000 today), yet there was nothing close to the all-ages basic shutdown with its paranoia. Thus even if we reach 200,000 COVID-19 attributed deaths, then the shutdown and paranoia will remain unprecedented in relation to its thread. And even in the 1918 flu (approx. 600,000 American deaths) baseball games were played.

The unprecedented reaction to COVID-19 is best explained by the "infection" of radical power-lusting liberalism in an election year.

Sigh. I just read that Tampa and Orlando have issued mandatory mask-wearing orders. Those are two liberal areas, so it’s not surprising, but this is terrible and people have got to resist.

Our mayor in Jacksonville is a Republican but a wienie and I’m sure he’s going to do it next. Somebody has got to challenge this on some grounds, don’t know what, but having a self-declared “health emergency” - which objectively and statistically is not even that severe - be politically manipulated to destroy all of our rights and impose onerous restrictions upon our daily lives cannot possibly be constitutional or legitimate in any way.

The Well-Appointed Californian

If you are a California resident or if you're planning to visit California before November you must dress properly to face any situation in this once-free state.

-- You must be "legally" attired with the new Newsom Day-Long Snot Rag

-- You must carry a flashlight on your belt in case PG&E deliberately shuts off the electricity should a breeze stir

-- Your belt must also be equipped with pepper spray in the event you encounter a BLM racist or an antifa terrorist who may threaten you (though you would be breaking the "law" by interfering with the racist or terrorists free expression to kick the living Newsom out of you)

-- Should you venture into the once-great city of San Francisco your backpack must contain a roll of "environmentally-friendly", "fair trade" toilet paper so that you can participate in the daily street-dump ritual ... completely legal, y'know!

And if you're up for a little fun, wear the legendary "I Love Country Music" rebus t-shirt, updated by pasting little Gavin Nesom's face over Hillary Clinton's; and be sure to wear your MAGA hat just to piss off all the "right people".

There now! You're all set for the day in the "new normal" California. (Since I don't practice anti-social distancing and because I have absolutely no intention of wearing a "face burka" no matter what Nancy Pelosi's nephew commands, I'm being "socially responsible" with this informative PSA.)

Check my tagline.

The State has an inherent authority to regulate businesses within its borders.
It can also regulate residents that opt-in to legislatively promulgated regulations (e.g., driver’s license) which are found to be privileges.
The State cannot regulate citizens of the US beyond the Constitution (”over-reach”).
All Constitutional rights and privileges possessed by the citizen prior to any Executive Orders or Emergency Orders and not nullified by the same.
Where the State has not previously stepped in and LEGISLATED certain privileges assumed by the citizen are not nullified ex post facto by such “Orders”.
They cannot be made “illegal” by fiat.
If, prior to the Orders, you enjoyed the privilege of free association, freedom of commerce and freedom of passage (travel), you retain those privileges until acted on by the State LEGISLATURE which is the representation of all the people in your State.

And, any State law or order that infringes or abridges on your enumerated Constitutional rights can be freely ignored.
Any person that would prevent you of the same are subject to fines and imprisonment under USCode Title 18, Section 242.
Note, this statute is applicable to individuals acting under authority; AKA: the police or the local District Attorney who might bring charges in court.
Even the Mayor or Governor.
BTW, your Governor should be actively nullifying such orders in localities within the borders of the State.
The Governor is the Chief Executive of the State with Executive authority over municipalities.
Check your State constitution.
Municipalities are not sovereign entities, separate from the State that joined the United States.
If they claim such, they are fomenting sedition and secession against the State.
The Federal Executive has a duty to intervene if asked.
If you intend to tread this path, I suggest you retain a lawyer sympathetic to you and this just cause.

Went to the gym today. As always, no mask. Couple of hotties were there. One smiled at me - Hubba Hubba (she may have been laughing at my unkempt hair, but a smile’s a smile).

Did a set of deadlifts, first time in a few years. Kept it light since I haven’t done them in a while. 135. That is 188% an intense exercise.

My favorite Italian restaurant had 2 positives reported among their employees. They went through the required cleaning protocol, but decided to temporarily close the dining room in their restaurants (they have 4, I think) for a while to let things settle. I don’t think it’ll do any good for me to tell them that it’s the flu, bro, but we’ve had worse and didn’t shut down over it. I know they’re being extra cautious, though it’s probably unnecessary.

You might as well tell me that Coast to Coast AM and Ancient Aliens are accurate too.

Why do you even bother posting to me. There is nothing you can ever say that will remove the stain of the fact you worship at the altar of a neckbeard janitor living in a basement somewhere.

Are you getting ready to circle posting times and comments with “proofs” that were started a year ago! Look! A cloud in the sky looks like Trump!
