“Officer Chauvin, how was George Floyd actively resisting for the 2 minutes and 48 seconds after you checked him for a pulse, when he was lying lifeless, bot moving and not visibly breathing?”

Tasers are useless when dealing with excited delirium.

But don't take my word for it.

The facts are eventually going to come out, and people, well at least fair minded people, are going to see that this isn't so cut and dried as so many naively think. Well, the conservatives may be naive, the BLM, Antifa, Democrat pols and media are just straight up lying, and they know it.

Excited delirium is a possibility here. Floyd may have had a heart attack in a few minutes anyway, even if the officers did not confront him. It does not excuse why the officers did not perform CPR or other first aid when they realized Floyd did not have a pulse.

Choke or neck restraint is contraindicated if the subject may have excited delirium. So is prone positioning (on face/stomach). Both have a high correlation with fatal ExD events.

These dipshits did both, creating a trifecta.

Every day the police look less guilty and the deceased less a martyr.

Actually when fentanyl is causing it, your assumption is incorrect, according to other information posted on FR. Restaint is absolutely necessary in the case of “wooden chest” symptom to save the overexcited individual’s life. But I do not have the time or inclination to sift through all the articles to go back and find this and prove it..

Re: “how was George Floyd actively resisting”

In the first reports about this death, two officers stated they thought Floyd fell asleep.

That would be consistent with the 11 ng of fentanyl in his blood.

Terminal cancer patients average 12 ng of fentanyl, and they are usually unconscious.

Bottom Line...

The neck hold was legal.

No trauma on Floyd's neck, throat, or upper back.

The fentanyl stopped his breathing.

The autopsy states death was caused by cardiopulmonary arrest.

Slam dunk reasonable doubt.

However - not many jurors will have the courage to vote not guilty, so the kneeling cop will get convicted of something.

there is no proof the fentanyl stopped his breathing. One can develop an amazing tolerance to opioids. I have seen people on over 1500 mg morphine equivalent daily with no apparent effect going about their daily routines, driving a car etc....the level itself means nothing

Thanks for the update on morphine.

Do you know anything about fentanyl?

George Floyd - 11 ng

Cancer Patients - 12 ng - unconscious, even though most of them have been on fentanyl for many weeks.

Fatal Overdose - average of 25 ng for experienced users.

Michael Baden - who conducted the family requested autopsy - does not agree with your analysis.

Baden: “the amount of fentanyl in George Floyd's body was considerable”

Forensics expert at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Lawrence Kobilinsky:

“It seems to me, it's high enough where a defense attorney would argue that this kind of predisposes him to heart failure, when you are on a drug like this...”

Bruce Goldberger, forensic medicine chief at the University of Florida College of Medicine:

“...the amount reported in the autopsy could kill someone who has not used the drug in the past,” Goldberger said.

So, I guess the prosecutor's case will depend on convincing the jury that George Floyd was a chronic, heavy user of fentanyl?

Yes I know plenty about fentanyl. We measure opioid doses in morphine equivalents to be able to compare doses of opioids. A 100 mcg/hr fentanyl patch (a big dose ) is equivalent to 240 mg/day morphine for example. yes you build tolerance to fentanyl as well as morphine . You cannot say by a blood level how affected the individual is it depends on their tolerance

Perhaps the real culprits here are the two guys in the car with Mr. Floyd who sold him the drugs. Police report said the police knew the men. They may have sold him something else laced with fentanyl or a higher dose that George expected. He could have just recently started back on drugs and misjudged how sensitive his body would be after a period of abstinence.

Floyd may likely have been handled unnecessarily and that handling likely fostered his death.

But he did not live a life as a role model for any martyr of any worthy cause.

Floyd, the person, is no true martyr, just a deceased human tool of the promoters of a political agenda bent on exploiting his death for their own power ambitions.

I supervised the use of force trainers for 5 years at our academy. Tasers will work sometimes more than 1 application. The guy was cuffed. One cop on each leg and the one on his neck maybe on the shoulder or with a taser would have done the job. There were four cops; they could have held him down if they wanted to without a knee on the neck.
