Tasers are useless when dealing with excited delirium.

But don't take my word for it.

The facts are eventually going to come out, and people, well at least fair minded people, are going to see that this isn't so cut and dried as so many naively think. Well, the conservatives may be naive, the BLM, Antifa, Democrat pols and media are just straight up lying, and they know it.

Excited delirium is a possibility here. Floyd may have had a heart attack in a few minutes anyway, even if the officers did not confront him. It does not excuse why the officers did not perform CPR or other first aid when they realized Floyd did not have a pulse.

I supervised the use of force trainers for 5 years at our academy. Tasers will work sometimes more than 1 application. The guy was cuffed. One cop on each leg and the one on his neck maybe on the shoulder or with a taser would have done the job. There were four cops; they could have held him down if they wanted to without a knee on the neck.
