Shocking video shows the moment several New York police officers brutally beat a cyclist who they had been riding slowly during a Black Lives Matter protest in Brooklyn.
Pierce McCaffrey had been participating in a solidarity ride during George Floyd and Black Lives Matters protests along Nassau Street near Gold Street on Sunday at around 7.40pm when the altercation took place.
According to the victim and witnesses who filmed the wild scene, McCaffrey had only been riding slowly in an effort to keep demonstrators free from police aggression.
Footage shows a pack of officers pounce on the cyclist, with one throwing clear punches at McCaffrey's head.
A cameraman - Mike Hassell - can be heard telling McCaffrey not to resist arrest.
'They started tackling me to the ground, punched me, put my hands behind my back, handcuffed me and threw me into the car,' McCaffrey explained to Streetsblog.

Think about this on the road. How slow is the slowest car and how slow are the cyclists?
First of all if a car is too slow they can get a ticket unless they have hazard lights on and there is a problem with the car.
Second most slow cars are what? 35 mph? Okay not bad, pain in the rear end but not bad.
Cyclists? okay we are talking their fastest speed might be 35 mph. Generally they are very slow say like 5 or 10 mph. They can move over and let cars pass and just choose not to because well they are saving the planet and are smug, meanwhile they are causing all the cars behind them to burn more gas and hurt the planet.

Years ago my local crappy Houston paper had a headline something close to: “Witness says officers did not need to shoot suspect.” Well the witness was the partner of the turd that was shot after they were robbing stores. The paper quoited the “witness” Saying “The officer did not need to shoot him, he was only firing warning shots at them.”

He got tuned up. I saw two cops in Gendale Queens beat a young biker on Myrtle Ave at 2AM. His gurlfriend’s screams woke me up. The patrons at the bar across the avenue came out to watch. They beat on him for five minutes straight. He kept trying to get up. Finally he listened to the girl and stayed down. The cops gave him a farewell whack with the rosewood, got into their RMP and backed it over his Harley. What had he done? Who knew. He actually got the bike started and rode off with his girl.
At this point, how many Americans will watch this and say “So what”.
People are sick of these fools.

I popped over a blind hill on the Harley one time, to find 6 day-glo Spandex bike bois right in the middle of the road.
Reflexes alone made me swerve to avoid them and it’s only by the grace of God that there were no oncoming cars to kill me.
And the biker bois all shook their fists and yelled at *me*.
The wide shoulder is the bike lane, not the middle of the damn road.
