So grandma recently bought a Smith & Wesson Model 60 - 3 to take care of the mice problem in the kitchen. Shes looking for recommendations on a good conceal carry holster.
Pulling the piece from her apron pocket takes too much time. Besides, she keeps her pipe in that pocket and doesnt want to pull out the wrong tool when the mice are running. Probably something in an open top design would do the trick, as the mice are quick and run away fast when they see her go for the revolver.
Any recommendation for manufacturers of holsters would be appreciated. Grandma thanks you for your time and will give you a jimmy sprinkle cupcake and cup of coffee should you drop in for a visit.

My husband’s grandma wanted a new shotgun to shoot garden pests. Uncle said, “no way, she will end up shooting one of us.” So no gun.
She was from southern Indiana, and a great shot even in her old age.
Your “wordsmithing” grade for today is 100%.
Thanks for the careful and thoughtful explanation of things that granny should consider.
This sounds excellent. I have an elderly female relative who may enjoy hearing that. She does not have mice at this time.
Would it be convenient to provide a link to this item as an encouragement?

Okay, so far 17 snarky comments and three comments of utilitarian value - about average on FR. We’re doing good. Thank you...thank you...thank you.

Its hard to find holsters for a 3 Model 60. I have a Bianchi No.7 pancake holster for mine, and it conceals well under an untucked shirt or under a jacket. Not sure of that works for Grandmas wardrobe.
“Maybe Grandma could go Mexican carry?”
Badges!!? Grandma don’t need no steenkin’ badges!
With your help, this thread is really deteriorating.
“...one even killed a robbery suspect at an ATM, shooting through the purse.”
As a public service, you need to post her picture so innocent people don’t stand in front of her at the Walmart line or ice cream stand. Thank you.
“Its hard to find holsters for a 3 Model 60.”
Thus my question, and your subsequent answer. Thank you.
Here are a few. I know women are particular about their purses, there are quite a few to be found.
Actually, it was at night at an atm, if you arenta criminal trying to rob women, youll be fine.
First off, grind the hammer spur down to a point where it won’t snag on clothing...still be plenty enough mass to make the cartridge go BANG and enough to grip for cocking to single action.
Then think about where (on the body) “Granny” wants to carry, THEN consider a best fit holster.
“Granny” shoulda got a Charter Arms .44Special “Bulldog”
variant w/3” barrel & “bobbed” hammer (also available as a swap out). Maybe next time.
Yer welcome.
I like Tucker Gunleather.
Thank you. I will so inform her.
You’re a gentleman and a scholar.
