Mayor de Blasio came under fire Tuesday morning as he was blasted by the ex-NYPD Commissioner for failing to control the violent lawless behavior plaguing the streets of New York City as of late.
Raymond Kelly made his comments on the Joe Piscopo radio show Tuesday morning.
One of the problems in New York City is Mayor de Blasio. Everything seems to be run through City Hall, Kelly said. You cant have that kind of micromanagement and expect executive staff to be able to function.
Among the various criticisms Kelly levied at de Blasio, was his mistake of giving up pieces of property to protesters.
Giving up the Manhattan Bridge the other night. Last night it was the FDR Drive for a couple of hours, Kelly said. The optics are so bad. The de Blasio administration has been doing this for a while. Apparently the mayor is proud of it.

These cities just release them as soon as they get them (check Portland)
“It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.” Psalm 119:126
It is time, Mayor DeBlasio, to call out your own state’s National Guard units, for you have allowed and encouraged lawlessness.
I think a case can be made now for mental incapacitation. A normally functioning mentally competent leader could not have continued to allow the rioting and looting without intervening. It’s long passed time to replace DeBlasio.
The de Blasio administration has been doing this for a while. Apparently the mayor is proud of it.
Yes he has.
I was watching the video of the officer at the killing of George Floyd and he was watching the bystanders and not paying attention to George. I thought of the lawlessness NYPD had to deal with in having to retreat from patrols and attempted arrest because of bystanders menacing.
err I was thinking de Blasio was practicing lawlessness.
At least he hasn’t given them a police precinct to loot and burn, yet.
I totally agree. I hate Cuomo but I hope he removes the mayor from office.
I must say that some comments, certainly not all, are very disconcerting here.
I can’t imagine a situation or a scenario where I would want any state of the union or city in any state to burn.
And those who are still living the 1st civil war need to know it’s over. There are 50 states. I can’t fathom wanting parts of America to burn and it breaks my heart that some do.
Almost 40% of New York voted for Trump.
Not five. Or even 10.
And regardless, while a state is in the union I do not want to see it burn to the ground. I may disapprove greatly of their politicians and the way things are run and what they stand for, and believe me with New York State I do, but I never want to see a part of America burn.
And last I checked no one has seceded.
We're not talking about a hurricane or a terrorist attack here. This is self-inflicted chaos and disorder, combined with (and promoted by) a radical leftist government.
Letting criminal rioters destroy peoples lives and livelihoods while threatening, arresting or even murdering innocent people who try to protect or defend their livelihood or family is a feature of leftist (i.e. Democrat) policies.
JoMa
Salon owner arrested, rioters and looters not
And they had their honeymoon in Castro's Cuba.
Tucker was slamming the president the other day Dana showed it on the Five.
Why is this president responsible for everything?
He got in to office to save us from a completely corrupt government. He cant even find a staff of people not hell bent on trying to destroy us
he's doing exactly as planned ...
he's a commie ...
his wife is a commie ...
his daughter is antifa ...
this is not incompetence ...
wake the hell up ...
NONE of the major channels said a word about DeBlasio’s daughter getting arrested. NONE.
