Chief Justice John Roberts told graduating seniors at his son’s high school that the coronavirus has “pierced our illusion of certainty and control” and he counseled the students to make their way with humility, compassion and courage in a world turned upside down.
“Humility. The pandemic should teach us at least that,” Roberts said in a seven-minute video message posted Saturday on the website of the Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, where his son, Jack, is a senior.
Roberts didn’t talk at all about the Supreme Court’s hefty load of high-profile cases that include disputes over President Donald Trump’s taxes, abortion, LGBT rights and protections for young immigrants. …

I hate it when the young and vulnerable are told our Country isn’t in control of our destiny. I wish God would come back to the USA. He is in control and those who serve him see that His ‘greatest experiment in Freedom‘ is at risk. With Him by our side we ARE in control of our destiny. Sad that someone with such a National presence would advocate for giving up.
Only a lawyer would tell us that we can’t control the influx of a virus, or counteract it with biochemical treatments.
That’s why they got law skool. Real science was beyond them.
I never commented on what Chief Injustice Roberts said. I only commented on what the pandemic has taught me.
I’m not really interested in anything he says, because Chief Injustice Roberts is dishonest and unjust.
Those ARE illusions along with safety but normal sane people exist and make progress by never dwelling on such. If they did they'd be paralyzed with fear, never leaving their homes, not going to work...hmmm. The pattern is emerging.
