So very sick of the Karens, my SIL (a minority) is one, my brother who calls blacks nigs is one.

I really like “masked creatures” and that’s gonna be my knew term for them.
I have to wear one in the grocery stores here (NJ). I put it on once I’m in the store and take it off once I’m at the door walking out. And pull it down under my nose, many many times, while shopping because I can’t stand breathing in my own breath.
My youngest daughter graduated college today, remotely...ceremony cancelled of course and she was at work anyway. She got this job (accounting degree) a few weeks ago and her office doesn’t wear masks. In NJ. I find that refreshing.
I’ve had my hair done, underground, twice since this shutdown in NJ. Just wish I knew of a nail place for an underground mani-pedi.
I know people who haven’t left their house/backyard since March 16 - the lockdown started here then. One couple is elderly with medical issues and they have their groceries delivered or I (and other neighbors) shop for them. Totally understanable.They’re in their 80s and just trying to live to the next day.
But others, young people. Young families who haven’t allowed their children outside except for their backyard, or middle aged couples who only go outside in their backyards.
It’s incredible really. People who haven’t seen their family in two months.
Back in March, one of my daughter’s and her fiance (he’s a junvenile diabetic), stopped seeing the rest of us. Understandable of course. They missed Easter dinner. So for Mother’s Day, I was like so...you coming or not. They came. They researched and decided he would be fine. Data showed it would be fine.
This keeping families away from one another is insane. Do people really want to live like that? I sure don’t.If my parents were alive today, there wouldn’t be a damn thing that could keep me away from them nor them, me.
This virus is sure damn smart to know that grocery stores, liquor stores, walmart, target, walgreens are safe but family getting together or parties of more than 10 or whatever number appear to be bad.

Ah yes, the texting while driving epidemic that was popular, all over the MSM, until COVID. Well, it did die down some once the Opiod epidemic took over the news.
The opiod epidemic died down, disappeared really, once COVID happened.
Gotta keep our epidemics straight. Gotta keep the masses focused on something.
Unless they are like the elderly neighbors, they are not living. They are simply existing day to day. They are worried about getting it, but haven't gone outside in months because you went on a bike ride without a mask and will now infect the entire grocery store. Do they really not think the virus wasn't spreading back in March when EVERYONE was crammed in the grocery store fighting over the last cans of Tuna?
Vaping horror stories made the news also.
