My wife mentioned that she'd like to watch a good nature documentary sometime. The problem is that we aren't looking for a series, just a stand alone one or two hour documentary. Also of course we don't want some lefty filmmaker lecturing us about how "man is destroying the environment and climate change must be stopped".
I trust Freeper opinions. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately nothing.
But we decided to put a bunch of episodes of Planet Earth on the DVR. So we’ll have them ready for the next time we watch something.
How about this one, which, though the topic is Intelligent Design, has a lot of good information about the earth in it:
