HARRISBURG, Pa. - The once-delayed Pennsylvania primary won't determine the presidential nominees, by now a foregone conclusion. But the voting in two weeks will feature legislative and congressional races, a first run for some new paper-record voting systems and the inaugural use of newly legalized mail-in ballots.
Voter registration will end Monday for the June 2 primary. The latest figures show many Pennsylvanians have embraced the states new vote-by-mail option that was passed last year but has been widely adopted as a way to avoid pandemic exposure.
More than 1 million Pennsylvania voters have requested mail-in ballots, including 700,000 Democrats and 310,000 Republicans. For the first time, voters can obtain mail-in ballots without providing one of the excuses that have long been required for absentee voting. More than 220,000 Pennsylvanians have requested absentee ballots for the primary as well.
Those who vote in person will see the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of social distancing guidelines and fewer polling places. State election officials are urging people to check online to see whether their precincts have been moved or consolidated for the primary.

Not kidding, its been going on for years because guess who knows where the conservative neighborhoods are?
The commies are just on pres election away from ruing the whole Constitution.
Do they really “embrace” it? Sounds like media weasel words.
Especially the dead.
I live in Allegheny County. It has ALWAYS been this way.
PA has closed primaries. The Democrats vote in the Democrat primary, and Republicans vote in the Republican primary.
The way it works is that you mail in your ballot and it gets delivered to the polling place where you would normally vote, still sealed in an envelope. At the end of the night when they run precinct totals those absentee ballots are opened and added to the totals.
They need to know whether a ballot is for the Democrat or GOP primary without opening it to keep the security of the system (which is actually pretty decent compared to some others out there).
Advantage is that your absentee ballot has to be physically at your polling place before voting starts or it isn’t counted. No Seattle “hey, look what I found in the trunk of this car!” scenarios.
We do not!
Thought so.
including 700,000 DEAD Democrats and 310,000 Republicans.
How to steal an election 101
That's ridiculous and completely void of any logic. If they need that to 'keep the security' of their system, then their system is a complete joke.
But before it gets from the voter to the polling place, the letter is handled by postal employees, most of whom are probably Democrats.
I heard part of that call. This amounts to blatant election fraud.
You independents and current Democrats, what are you going to do when it is time for YOU to vote against the Rat party????
Voter fraud is rampant. There has been proof it occurs, and The Stupid Party does NOTHING. If we wanted to stop this crime, people committing voter fraud should be publicly hanged and left for the buzzards.
Kiss PA good by.
Every rat Governor is going to do this.
More likely they issue 1 million ballots and get 2 million back
This Pennsylvanian doesn’t.
I think we need to admit that the fix is in. Pennsylvania and Michigan will be flipped. The mail vote and ballot harvest will kill the country on top of this BS virus.
I believe, barring a miracle, that you are correct. In fact, I know that you are. Prepare for the worse and hope for the best. But I doubt that the Calvary comes charging over the hill. Even though our leaders, with the exception of President Trump, betrayed us and sold us down the river, we got ourselves in this mess and will have to get ourselves out. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, it is going to take prayers, blood , sweat, toil, tears, and if we have the courage bullets. The alternative is submission, slavery and extermination. It will make what the Jews endured in Nazi Germany seem like a walk in the park by comparison.
