Theyre partying like its 2019.
Lockdown-weary New Yorkers ditched the distancing to get social instead this weekend - transforming parts of the Big Apple into a raucous, late-season Mardi Gras.
Yet the citys COVID-be-damned attitude was nothing compared with the scene in Belmar, NJ, a beach popular with Staten Islanders and Brooklynites.
Huge crowds waited shoulder-to-shoulder on the boardwalk for their turn to buy beach badges.
The line for beach badges was like four non-socially distanced blocks long, tweeted Jarrett Seidler, who described the boardwalk as obscenely packed.
Outside popular bars on the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, the East and West Villages and in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, The Post found booze hounds arriving for the takeout cocktails and then staying - and staying - to sip drinks on packed sidewalks and soak up the lively scenes.
How are you going to drink with a mask on? one reveler, hairdresser Akeem Kelley, told The Post.

Lol
I am sick to death of everyone being guilted into accepting this tyranny.
Oh, so you dont care about old people, and youre selfish because you only care about your job and money, and living your life!

I am Grandma.
Not in my name!
Ive been hiking our hills and mountains nonstop throughout this lockdown (Santa Clara County, CA). Being retired, I am able to get out during the workdays. For quite a while I would have enormous parks all to myself. Then the visitors started increasing about a month ago. Now foot traffic is back to normal everywhere and yesterday it must have been five times normal. Parking spots on country roads that never have a car in them were packed. I had three groups of newcomers on the trails stop and ask me directions and where the trail headed.
Come on, people! We are still under lockdown! Go back to your homes!
Oh.
Never mind.
Not for nuthin....no one can MAKE you feel anything.
If you dont want to wear a mask...dont wear it.
But dont get worked up when businesses that are following the conditions of operation and they dont let you in. Remember, its not a teenager at the door of the grocery store making the rules.
Funnel your anger where its deserved.
Beach badge?
Seasonal beach badges may only be purchased at the Long Beach Township Beach Badge sales locations. Daily & Weekly badges can be purchased at either the LBT Beach Badge Office, on 68th Street in Brant Beach, or on the beach from one of our Beach Badge Checkers (in-season June 20 September 7).

I looked first - what is a “Beach Badge” and how much does it cost? (NYC / NYS will not let an opportunity go by to take $$ from citizens!)
Heat and hunger contribute to riots. A third of those without money (and most of the working class can’t get PPP money) are going hungry. And it is getting hotter.
Looks like a lonely hearts and a fear of being alone meeting.
