Melissa Etheridge’s son Beckett died from opioid addiction, the singer revealed Wednesday night.
“Today I joined the hundreds of thousands of families who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction,” the singer, 58, wrote. “My son Beckett, who was just 21, struggled to overcome his addiction and finally succumbed to it today.
“He will be missed by those who loved him, his family and friends. My heart is broken. I am grateful for those who have reached out with condolences and I Feel their love and sincere grief,” the note continued.
“We struggled with what else we could have done to save him and in the end we know he is out of the pain now.”
“I will sing again, soon,” Etheridge’s note concluded. “It has always healed me.”

It’s ironic in that it was likely a rebellion.

Ridiculous. No one dies from opioid addiction. They die from overdosing on opioids.
This is part of the absurd propagandistic fantasy which seems to govern modern discourse, like SUVs killing people in fatal accidents.
If this boy stuck a needle in his arm and died, say so.
IMO part of the problem we are having with the China virus crisis is due to the overblown opioid “crisis” where prescription medication was conflated with heroin and fentenyl. The fear tactics, lack of distinctions and out of control virtue signaling were promoted in a frenzy much to the country’s enstupification and infantilization.
Instilling hysteria in a population is easy to do, apparently, and dangerous. We seem to be riding on a constant wave of hysteria, where even good people get carried along without any questions.

These new ways of shaping and raising a family are really turning up asses.

I’ve seen videos where Parents actually inject their grown kids with drugs.....let alone get their supply.

Etheridge said in a 2017 interview with Yahoo that she regularly smoked with weed with Beckett and Bailey Jean. The singer said,... “It was funny at first, and then they realized it’s very natural [at the] end of the day. It brings you much closer. I’d much rather have a smoke with my grown kids than a drink.” .......Etheridge added, “My family, all four of my children, understand cannabis. They call it medicine.”
