Best Electric Razor?

I have arrived at the age where the eyes and hands don't fully cooperate like they use to! (Doesn't help that I am blind in one eye either)

Well anyway, I am wanting, (needing) to give up the standard razor and move to an electric.

I've had electrics in the past (norelco, panasonic ..) but none of them worked very well!

Reading up on the topic, I'd say that the 'rotating head' rather than the foil head would be preferable.

I would like some recommendations from any long time users if you don't mind?

Not having a lot of money I'd like to stay away from those that go above $50.00-$75.00 if at all possible.

Seriously, I see where Braun has a new razor out for almost $300.00!

It 'looks' great but Really!?

Water resistant would be a great feature.

Agreed - Afta pre-shave definitely helps a lot. Lectric Shave is also ok but not nearly as good when traveling as it’s liquid not gel based (I had a spill once).

Having now gone 8 weeks without a haircut, I tried to find a quality electric hair trimmer over the internet. There is not a one to be found, they are all sold out. I was forced to purchase an extremely expensive cordless Wahl trimmer. Hopefully it will take care of the mess I created when I tried using an electric razor to cut my hair............LOL!

Braun. Expensive, but worth it. Pay the extra, get the one that comes with the cleaner. Twice a week, replace your screen every 6 to 9 months. All is good.

For what it's worth, I prefer shaving with a hand razor. The best darn razor blade out there is called HARRY'S. They're new and they are far and away better than anything the ultra expensive Gillette brand can offer. And that comes from a lifelong Gillette Turbo razor user..........

Harry's is much sharper, lasts much longer and most importantly is approx. $8 cheaper for an 8 pack of blades...........

I have a tool that helps when using amazon reviews.

A little secret of mine: I'm terrible (and usually wrong) when it comes to making decisions so I almost always try to find reviews by other folks who have usually made the same mistakes that I use to make!

Hint?
Never, Ever purchase one of those As Seen on TV items!

I now do most of my research of an item on Amazon, simply because of the number of reviews that they have on products.

A while back, I discovered (surprise) that you can't believe every review ... even on amazon!

I found a solution for that!

Been using Braun for over 20 years. Their quality took a dive about 5 years ago. Doesn’t shave worth a damn any more. Won’t be buying another one any time soon. I’ll probably look at Remington next.

I gave up and the endless scrubbing with a Norelco and went back to a disposable in the shower.

Best way to go. Shave in the shower. Most guys don't realize that the face must be washed and left wet for a good 5 minutes before shaving with a razor. A little soap is all that is needed for a good smooth shave. Shaving cream is a waste of money and does not soften the beard as soap and water does.
