Corona Virus Daily Thread #51 COVID-19 5/07/2020
“Summer Is Coming, but the Virus Wont Be Going - Whatever effect warm weather has on the coronavirus, it wont be enough to safely drop social restrictions.”
- see https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/08/health/virus-summer-pandemic.html
Wait. What? A spike in cases after opening up? Who’da thunk it?
Drive yourself. Pack meals from home. Make potty stops off the highway behind a tree. Wear gloves to pump gas.
Better to just stay home and teleconference.
Ivanka is smarter than her daddy having her assistants teleworking. Her daddy needs to wise up fast about this monster.
77,000 deaths from nothing but the sniffles.

not a study..just a guy talking about ingredients of this pill he developed..which contains things we are talking about taking
There’s a huge difference between hoarding and staying prepared.
And now with that Kawasaki type illness in children going around. Get that child to the doctor’s office.
And there’s a new warning about a measles outbreak.
People used to dress in the Sunday best to fly and most people behaved themselves. Stewardesses would treat passengers like kings and the food was at least 4 star. I still have a coach class dinner menu that is gold embossed and embroidered. Everyone had leg and butt room. If you wanted to stretch your legs, there was a nice piano lounge and a wall aquarium.
“Staying prepared” is getting what you need for the near future.
“Hoarding” is getting what you need for the long term.
I recommend both.
I miss that country and culture.
I am going to order the high dose zinc, and the HCQ and Z-Pac if I can find a reputable distributor. Make up a packet of Zelenko 5 day treatment for my family members and closest friends.
if you cant find HQC...you might look into cinchona. Penn herbs has it in various forms

On the history of Cinchona bark in the treatment of Malaria.
Some phones do much more than trace your movements.
I used to have a friend I talked with in Starbucks. He had his phone OFF the whole time. Afterwards, I would get ads for things that the phone thought we had talked about, like the ones you get on Drudge Report linked to your personal messages. They hook onto a key word and try to make some money off of you.
Of course the phones can be used for other purposes too.
There are other problems in NYC. That thread from a hospital nurse tells part of the story. We’ll get to the reasons why at a later point, I suppose.
I remembered some hoary old passage from something called the Sermon on the Mount and thought maybe people would do even more than they were asked to.
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Looks like Limbaugh and company have won the battle.
Interesting...
North Dakota, 762,062 population, 33 deaths
Hawaii, 1,416,000 population, 17 deaths
Hawaii has twice the population as ND, with all the people crammed on a few ‘rocks’ in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You have public transportation, people living on top of each other in a very urban setting, etc. Hawaii also has a very LARGE number of older people/retirees. Also, lots of tourists from Asia. It’s also a transportation hub. Yet, they have about half the number of deaths compared to North Dakota, which compared to most of the country, is the middle of nowhere and social distancing should be the norm. Vitamin D & sunshine HAS TO have something to do with the death rate.
Also, for those not familiar with Hawaii, central air conditioning is not common in homes. The cost of electricity is much too expensive and most houses built before the 1980s are uninsulated. Most people rely on the trade winds (cool ocean breeze), open windows, and ceiling fans.
