Elon Musk and Grimes have chosen a very unconventional name for their newborn son: X Æ A-12.
On Monday, after the Tesla CEO announced the birth of his child with the Canadian singer, a fan tweeted, We need the name we literally need it.
Musk, 48, responded, X Æ A-12 Musk, with no explanation. He also shared two photos of the newborn one with a filter of tattoos on his face.

And here I was expecting Musk to christen him “The Baby Formerly Known as Prince” (sorry, haven’t got the symbol on my keyboard yet).
They call the wind Maria, FWIW.
Poor kid.
Hmmm... and I thought Lloyd (a Welsh name, for my Welsh heritage) was a risky move as a middle name.
I often dislike the politics of the uber-wealthy, but eccentric people like him who think outside of the box and are not afraid to buck conventional wisdom are responsible for some of the greatest inventions known to mankind.
He fails as often as he succeeds, and he definitely used subsidies like many corporate folks, but I think the world is a better place with people like him in it. He marches to the beat of his own drum!
Poor kid.
Am I the only one who thinks the parents are demonic?
I had no idea that Musk was bleeping Grimes, she’s a nice little piece. Didn’t know she was insane but she’s with him so that figures.

In a tweet, Grimes whose birth name is Claire Boucher broke down the eccentric moniker for fans and explained its meaning down to the last letter.
“X, the unknown variable,” the new mom wrote.
“Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence),” Grimes continued, before sharing that a part of her son’s name is a nod to the CIA’s Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance plane. “A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent.”
Grimes added that the “A” in the name also represents “Archangel” which she said is her “favorite song” while the number “12” stood for the Chinese zodiac sign of the rat. (According to the Chinese zodiac, 2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat.)

A-12 of course was a recon plane and so was not used in “battle”.
Strange people. Only Latin letters may be used in names in California. I’m gonna step in and decree the kid shall be called “Jimmy” until they pick a real name.
Dice mentions Musk in this thought-provoking 5-minute here...

The more I see/listen to Musk, the more I like him. Very interesting guy with a sense of humor BUMP!
I don’t. But it’s a real name, from the Bible.
And it’s pronounceable!

The more I focus in on Musk, the more my opinion sways back and forth. Thanks for the thread.
