Walt Disney Co is set to reveal its first assessment of the damage the coronavirus has wreaked on Disney's global business when the company releases it quarterly earnings today. Wall Street will assess the level of damage when chief executive Bob Chapek and executive chairman Bob Iger deliver the company's fiscal second-quarter financial report on Tuesday afternoon. Overall, analysts expect Disney to report earnings per share of 89 cents, down 45 percent from $1.61 a year earlier. The earnings report will be the first outing in front of Wall Street for Chapek - the former parks chief who took on the chief executive job in February just as the pandemic started spreading globally. Chapek took on the new role as Iger stepped down to become executive chairman. Executives will face analysts looking for answers on how they plan to navigate out of the unprecedented global crisis.

A world without Disney is a good thing. https://www.littleapplesofgold.com/christianity/beware-of-disney-and-hollywood/ (3 year-old article)
I have very fond memories of crawling through the evening paper, pleading with my dad to read me something from “Song of the South,” complete with sound effects.
“Please, whatever you do, don’t throw me in the briar patch!.”
“Braer Bear, he don’ say nuthin.”
Like everything else,Disney was dying before the “crisis”. Crisis is the ultimate “get out of”.... card.
I have a CD copy of “Song of the South” that I bought (through the mail) from France. It is a very sweet story that features Uncle Remus. I watch every now and then and celebrate my enjoyment of it to Rev. Jackson (or it you are not from Chicago like I am) the man that marched down State Street in a tutu.
That is a shame. Who will pay for ABDNC News?
If you know where to look, you can download a copy of The Song of the South. Try Usenet. I found mine in one of threads ages ago. Good quality.
The company is far too left now and rancid with PC to release that even if it would save them. Maybe if they were family oriented as Walt originally made them, they would be in less trouble. I avoid them always now.
The Left pollutes everything it touches, gropes everything it sees and can reach, and looks with envy and lust on everything it can see but not yet reach.
Its north of $175 bils
Maybe they will finally make a good Star Wars film now.

No they lose a bazillion dollars per day. Thats why they have a market capitalization of $200 bils
No speakey Yoda, can you translate that?
When AAPL has 5X the market cap of DIS, you should keep your knowledge to yourself
Just watched a youtube video (maybe accurate, maybe no) but it was saying Disney may end up having to eat the live action Mulan remake. They’e afraid to release it in the US because of backlash, and with US/China relations souring, it looks like a China release won’t happen anytime soon.
The Star Wars Holiday Special, which featured Chewbacca living on Endor with Ewoks, was simply bad. We are talking like when they list all the movies Robert Redford has been in, even acknowledging the existence of Teds, but will still leave Ishtar off of the list bad.
Well, almost that bad. Not quite. But still pretty darn bad. In the neighborhood of Highlander 2 bad Bad.
Yes, it introduced Baba Fett, but that aside it was not aired a second time.
As for Lucas, well, he will deign to make money from pretty much anything. Yes, he sold it to Disney, and still gripes about the way they do things, but thats him griping about them ... and the SW:HS is something he has passed on making money from.
...Disney might try to make money from the SW:HS .. after editing in some faggotry and other PC nonsense, because it doesnt suck nearly enough to be a Disney Star Wars product as is.
Reds ...not Teds ... stupid typos...
