An Italian pharmacology scholar has claimed that COVID-19 damages the hemoglobin, thus impairing the ability of red blood cells to transport oxygen throughout the body, affecting the lungs and leading to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
In an explanation of her thesis to The Jerusalem Post, Annalisa Chiusolo said that her theory provides the answers to several questions about the novel coronavirus, including the higher vulnerability demonstrated by men, particularly diabetics, to becoming seriously ill from the virus, as well as the lower rate of COVID-19 infection among pregnant women and children. Chiusolo believes that understanding this mechanism can pave the way for a quicker discovery of highly effective drugs for treating the virus.
Chiusolo who is a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Perugia, Italy, and works as a pharmacist in the country has published her theory in some of the leading Italian newspapers. According to Chiusolo, SARS-CoV-2 is dependent upon porphyrins for surviving and possibly for replicating, making it attack hemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in the blood, resulting in less oxygen available for the body. As a result of less oxygen, carbon dioxide gets accumulated.
Chiusolo has also evaluated the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat SARS-CoV-2, and has found that in addition to having an antiviral and immunomodulatory effect, the drug binds to the ferriprotoporphyrin of the ecgonine methyl ester (EME), thereby blocking the key enzyme of malaria. Ferriprotoporphyrin is the group responsible for the oxygen binding of hemoglobin. Chiusolo believes that a similar mechanism can be used against SARS-CoV-2. Her theory is supported by a study by a Chinese university demonstrating that SARS-CoV-2 binds to the beta chain of hemoglobin, thereby inhibiting EME metabolism.
According to Chiusolo, hydroxychloroquine could act as a prophylactic, thus preventing or limiting the symptoms of COVID-19 while a vaccine is being formulated that specifically stimulates the body’s antibody response. Chiusolo believes that hydroxychloroquine could make the patient immune to COVID-19 and/or limit its side effects, but admitted that the drug does has some severe side-effects, especially among patients having heart disease.

CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Hydroxychloroquine treatment is significantly associated with a decreased mortality in critically ill patients with COVID-19 through attenuation of inflammatory cytokine storm. Therefore, hydroxychloroquine should be prescribed for treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients to save lives.
Go read the side effects for just about any drug. Tylenol, for an example.
HCQ side effects are relatively minimal and we have a long track record with the drug.
Key ingredient in Hydroxychloroquine is quinine.
I started drinking tonic water daily, which contains quinine.

I’ve made a gin & tonic (quinine syrup) without carbonated water. An idea from your posting, I will try and make a zinc supplement tablet that fizzes when added to water.

Top come close to that with something like quinine in tonic water- it would take about 4 liters per day- (I guess it’s around 80mg quinine per liter- but not sure if one would need 200 mg of quinine, or more, or less- they are two different substances- and quinine can be dangerous, causing serious allergic reactions)

Note that the entire issue has made an angry army of conservatives because it’s no longer about saving lives but a smear propaganda fake news campaign backed by the Gates-Soros Axis who want to vaccinate the world’s population and plant nano RFID elements that identify, track, monitor human beings like cattle (Mark of the Beast type crap).
So we see every week attacks against Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) by those pushing expensive untested vaccines. And some Freepers here chime in to favor vaccines without knowing how ignorant they are. Nuff said.
First there are about eight things:
1. SARS-COV-2 is the virus which spreads from human to human. Dogs don’t get it Yay! Cats might get it Boo!
2. COVID-19 is the disease of the lungs caused by the virus.
3. COVID-19 is analogous to a fire. If caught early, HCQ combination therapy puts the fire out quick often leaving barely noticeable damage. If the fire has been raging a while, there may be nothing to save the lungs and if the lings survive, they are going to be damaged. Understand ‘early’ can mean a positive test with no symptoms OR no test but having symptoms OR unable to breathe but rushed to the hospital where treatment is quick. What is not ‘early’ is suffering respiratory problems for a week or more without getting treatment (waiting too long).
4. Not everyone who gets the virus will develop COVID-19. Two family members living together can get the virus, one never so much as develops a cough, the other is gasping for every breath and is rushed to the hospital. There are theories about this, one theory is that blood type plays a role. Some say blood type O provides protection. More on this developing.
5. The HCQ does not ‘kill’ the virus. What ‘blocks’ the virus is Zinc and to some extent Azithromycin (Zpak). What HCQ does is open a channel like a pore on the cell surface and pushes Zinc into the cell. Zinc does not kill the virus either but Zinc butts in line to the Cell’s DNA which the virus uses to replicate and multiply. So Zinc stops the virus from multiplying. The cytokines in the cell are immune signaling elements that cause the cell to ‘flush out foreign material’. Zinc is a nutrient and is recognized for the most part as part of the family whereas the virus is a member of MS-13 which the cytokines flush out. Once the virus is kicked out of the cell, it is eliminated in the urine.
6. HCQ was formerly CHQ = Chloroquine where both are safe but CHQ caused some nastiness sometimes creating side effects for example with eye retina so it was modified to HCQ where it is now even safer. Both come from quinine which is in tonic you buy at the grocery store. The drugs have been with us since 1955 and are older than most doctors. The safety profile is well understood, no one dies from it. Doctors prescribe it for malaria, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases and conditions.
7. The drug is way past its patent expiration and is produced generically making it dirt cheap. This fact is important towards understanding the stupid outrageous behavior of the vaccine pushers who obsess on the value of their stock options traded on Wall St.
8. HCQ + Zn + Zpak (note Zpak is Azithromycin which an MD may substitute Doxycyclin) is the combination treatment of a few pills a day AND CAN BE TAKEN OUTSIDE OR INSIDE THE HOSPITAL. People have recovered in the hospital in hours where they came in unable to breathe feeling like they were going to die. The combo treatment is also taken at home where people get over their symptoms. The debate now focuses on whether people should take it as a prophylactic to guard against ever getting COVID-19. They may get SARS-COV-2 but this virus has no place to go as the combo treatment is showing it the door and taken out with the urine.
