“As far as the masks. The Surgeon General has already said that healthy people should not wear them.

While his PSA saying that they should wear masks still runs on network TV. His cred is shot.

My point is there’s something between the barbarity of the last century and the free wheeling anything goes of the other extreme.

If you’re ONLY looking at the end result, it would make sense to shoot everyone who tests positive for the virus. Classic ‘ends justifies the means’ thinking. That’s not our way. We need to find the path that works within the structures of a free people.

(China nailed the doors of some families closed to stop the spread - whole families starved to death - but it was ‘effective’...)

The nail salon and gambling joint here in my TX town the whole time. Someone reports them, the cops come out and tell them to shut down, the cops leave and they’re back open. Rinse and repeat daily. Wish they’d been fined so the cops didn’t have to waste time on them. Just follow the rules. But nooo, can’t do that.

The Dallas, TX beautician in question could have gotten a job at a restaurant if she really needed the money. Feeding her kids is not a problem what with all the free food at schools. She admitted she’d got the government grant/loan. She also had the $1200 per adult and $500 per kid. All she had to do was tell her loud mouth attorney to shut up and apologize to the judge. Now, she’s in jail and has a fine. From what’s being reported, she can thank her attorney for the sentence.

Bottom line, she had options.

Her clients should have been arrested along with her. Why weren’t her employees arrested?

The death rate/infection rate there can’t readily be applied to any other country that doesn’t have that particular immune mutation.

Was the SARS-CoV-2 "strain" the same in Seattle, Washington that was in NYC and that area? LA? Do all of those areas have that particular immune mutation?

If not, that your logic would seem to hold for regions in a country - that you can't apple death/infection rates to other regions in a country.

Now, she’s in jail and has a fine

And she also has over $222,000 in donations to a funding campaign:

given the supposed HIV inserts which some say is not true....the HIV part of this is interesting

https://bmcmedgenet.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12881-019-0913-9

Prevalence of CCR5delta32 in Northeastern Iran

This study was the first investigation for an assessment of the prevalence of CCR5∆32 in northeastern Iran. The low prevalence of CCR5∆32 allele in the Iranian population may result in the increased susceptibility to HIV-1. In addition, this prevalence is the same as that of reported in East Asia, while is lower than that in the Europeans.
--------

. The CCR5-delta 32 mutation in a sense locks "the door" which prevents HIV from entering into the cell. 1% of people descended from Northern Europeans, particularly Swedes, are immune to HIV infection. https://www.nature.com/scitable/blog/viruses101/hiv_resistant_mutation/

I wouldn’t call 1900 barbaric.

My great grandmother couldn’t vote.

She COULD own property, buy laudanum and own a machine gun.

She nor her husband paid income taxes.

What they earned was theirs.

She didn’t worry about CPS taking her kids if she gave them a well deserved smack on the a@@

‘Freedom’ will always be restricted by the behavior of narcissists. Either individually or by fiat (ie, laws).

Narcissist spreaders are the REASON we have quarantine laws.

My grandfather created a successful business from scratch.

Part of his keys to success were his knowledge of the local politicians.

He paid them off with suitcases of cash—and both he and they lived happily ever after—not one of the politicians _ever_ got caught.

Same as it always was...

The 1% is for homozygous people.

The 10-15% number is heterozygous.

For the latter, they aren’t immune to HIV. HOWEVER, it takes a MUCH larger initial viral load to do the trick for them.

And the time between infection and development of full blown AIDS is much longer. Ie, they’re asymptomatic spreaders MUCH longer.

I’ll be wearing my mask and gloves to the garage in a few minutes when I bring in the 3 day old nonperishables and wipe them down.

Ugh, every day there are new workmen next door who walk within the social distancing joke by my house every few seconds.

The same politicians have figured out that if ‘We’ aren’t ‘open’, ‘They’ won’t get paid via tax dollars.

They don’t care about ‘freedom’ so much as they care about their paychecks and whatever graft their lifestyle is based on.

They know that ‘they’ have access to whatever drugs/treatments are leading edge and work. So ‘they’ don’t have to worry about anyone they love dying of this. Or even being hospitalized.

I had to take a few days break from FR because of the flubros. It won’t be fun and games when they or their kid ends up in the hospital or worse.

here is another interesting thing they should look at as it wraps around to malaria..scientists could determine if sickle cell and other malaria related blood disorders provide protection. It is fascinating to see how a parasite disorder like Malaria is having an effect on an escaped lab monster

you would think blood disorder people who need tranfusions would get whacked by Wuhan Flu..but anectodotal says no

EHA and TIF explore how COVID-19 is affecting thalassemia and SCD patients

https://www.the-hospitalist.org/hospitalist/article/221017/coronavirus-updates/eha-and-tif-explore-how-covid-19-affecting

------------------

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1002/ajh.25840

and these people MIGHT get protection from many different things

https://www.pnas.org/content/94/26/14736.short

" This clinical study demonstrates that a malaria resistance gene protects against disease caused by infections other than malaria. The mechanism of the remarkable protective effect of α+-thalassemia against severe childhood disease remains unclear but must encompass the clear interaction between this hemoglobinopathy and both malarial and nonmalarial infections.

Not just ineffective but down right dangerous for the layman to wear a mask.

My precautions are based on the knowledge that it’s manmade.

You don’t know who made it.

You don’t know why they made it.

People (not just china) are asshoe.

No different than concealed carry. It’s a precaution.

They want us to get it.

Particularly those over 50.

You can’t mandate the vaccine if it isn’t endemic.

Lower viral loads lead to lighter infections. They don’t want that. They WANT drama and dead people and full hospitals.
