New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) during his press briefing on Wednesday revealed a collage of face masks that people from all over the country have sent to his office amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"This is a self-portrait of America," Cuomo said pointing to the wall of masks. "You what know it spells? It spells love."
The governor, who has gained national attention for his nearly-daily press briefings on the pandemic, said his office has received thousands of masks and personal notes from people across the country as a show of support. The Empire State has been the state hardest hit by virus, with over 295,000 confirmed cases and more than 17,000 deaths, according to data compiled by The New York Times.
"This is what this country is about and this is what Americans are about," Cuomo said. "A little bit more of this and a little bit less of the partisanship and the ugliness and this country would be a better place."

I’m being 100% honest. I’ve been out on Staten island, Brooklyn and even Manhattan and the past tuesday I was walking along the beach and there were too many people to count. A lot of people in the parks. Maybe half the people wearing masks. A lot of police cars driving around but I didn’t see one stop to talk to anybody regarding their masks or being out.
they didn’t even bother me about the see-through bag I was using to hold my Corona :-)

The people should have sent their dirty underwear. That’s more his style.
First, if he’s making art with them no screaming about not having enough masks.
Second, “A little bit more of this and a little bit less of the partisanship and the ugliness and this country would be a better place.” Cuomo is the last person on earth to be lecturing others about partisanship and ugliness. Democrats always condemn others for what they do. It’s sick.
What I thought when I saw that was that each of those little squares represented someone’s time and hard to obtain resources (you have to wait for hours in a line here). Those people sewed those masks to go on people’s faces. They are washable so they can go on the same face multiple times. I understand their importance as a symbol of unity and of love for ones fellow man. At the same time I hope they take them down, wash them, and distribute them to people who need them.
The nursing home scandal should be major news.
And people should be going to jail.

The more I hear come out of Cuomo’s mouth the more I realize this guy is a friggin moron!I have heard so many breathtakingly stupid remarks by this guy in the last two weeks! My favorite is “The virus equals death”. Hey Guv, how are your brother, sister-in-law and nephew doing?
