Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said this week that the country is “not ready” for sports to make a return amid the coronavirus pandemic and indicated that leagues should be ready to “go without this sport for this season.”
In an interview with The New York Times published on Monday, Fauci, who is one of top experts leading the White House’s coronavirus task force, said “safety, for the players and for the fans, trumps everything” when it comes to the question of when sporting events will be able to resume in the country.
“If you can’t guarantee safety, then, unfortunately, you’re going to have to bite the bullet and say, ‘We may have to go without this sport for this season,’ ” he continued.

Yes he is. I have sent several notes to Trump pointing out that Fauci is a deep state operative pushing hysteria to shut down the economy in order to destroy the country. Apparently Trump still believes Fauci is an important asset. Talk about naive!

I hate sports, but I also understand that a healthy sports program is very “American”. I won’t pay attention, but will be glad for that normalcy to return.
