Yes, things have taken a significant turn for the better! I snapped this yesterday at 5 PM in the Los Altos, California Safeway (San Francisco Bay Area). There was no crowd lunging for it. No wild-eyed berserkers trying to steal it away from you or take it from your basket. No knocking over little old ladies to grab it. Nope, it was just sitting there, unloved and lonely, just begging for somebody to take it home.
Was this photoshopped?
Nope, right off of my iPhone! It’s real. It was the weirdest thing seeing that lone pack just sitting there.
Wow!
I had asked family members not to tell anyone we store paper products in our garage!
LMAO ROFL.
My neighbor was at Costco today and said they had plenty of TP.
if you have a sams club they have in the automotive supplies area a thing called “RAGS in a BOX”- a yellow and red box- which are really just super heavy perforated paper towels...last forever and great to have for the kitchen and bathroom.Once we bought those we never went back to regular.
LOL! We bought a case of these same flat paper towels. I like the rolls better, but we’re going to use them all before we buy more paper towels!
Ha love that explanation
But the truth is we all used public restrooms 60% of the time until the shutdown.
PS I avoided Wal-Mart restrooms, even pre-shutdown.
That’s what we bought too!
re: tp...old phone books work.
any rubbin’ alcohol?
I bought three cartons — BIG cardboard cartons. I wasn’t paying enough attention to how many towel packages are in each carton. I am all set for DECADES, I’m afraid. My wife is away and is going to go nuts when she sees all that I bought. She’ll kill me if COVID doesn’t.
I didn’t look for alcohol, but all the basic cleaners were wiped clean and no hand sanitizer to be seen anywhere.
I bought two liters of 99% alcohol on Amazon to make hand sanitizer in case that shortage continued. It requires more dilution to get to an effective concentration, but that’s fine. It took about five or six weeks for it to be delivered.
I also briefly spotted Purrell on Office Depot and snagged four 8 ounce pump bottles which obviated my need for the alcohol. But I’ll keep the alcohol around — just in case this nonsense starts up again.
I’ve got several standing “Alert Me” setups on Office Depot and Staples. I get in-stock alert emails when new shipments arrive. I’ve bought a couple of things as soon as they were in stock via those alerts. They are worth setting up if you need something. Home Depot has “In Stock” alert emails, as well.
great advice thanks!
I scored some Bounty paper towels yesterday. That’s a first since this whole mess started. Some Charmin would be nice but I’ve not been that lucky.
So if I buy toilet paper and masks in December, I am a prepper, but if I buy them in 2020, I am a hoarder? ‘
Primary Election, Side Bar...but, most interesting.
Democrat, Joe Biden wins the Ohio POTUS primary election gathering 379,099 votes.
But.....POTUS, Donald J. Trump wins his uncontested Ohio POTUS primary election ...slaughtering Democrat, Joe Biden as he gathered 500,236.
Truth be known, Trump has beaten Biden easily in the overwhelming number of primaries held this far.
Yep, as simple as that!
