The White House has told government agencies to start preparing for the transition should Donald Trump lose to Joe Biden in November as Democrats worry the president won't cooperate with a handover should one become necessary.
Russell Vought, acting director of the White House's Office of Management and Budget, issued a memo on Monday ordering 20 different agencies to appoint a transition director by Friday, in accordance with the Presidential Transition Act.
Each agency's director will make up the Agency Transition Directors Council, which will meet on May 27, Vought wrote.

I would think any administration would have such a contingency plan. We even have plans on what to do if attacked by Canada. Scenarios pre-written, pre-funded and filed away for ‘whenever’.

Reminds me of my first apartment I had in New York city back in the 1980s. I would be sitting down watching TV and they would crawl on my leg or on my face when I was sleeping. It is a rational position. Trump is not someone who will blindly and faithfully follow tradition. He will lash out in rage if (God forbid) he loses. He will resign the morning after, make Pence the President and ask him to pardon him so he can leave town. I don't see Trump silently suffering for 2 whole months the indignity and disdain that will come his way if he loses.
If anyone here is stupid enough to fall for this BS then Trump deserves to lose! They always start this ish 6months out from the election claiming the Democrat has a forever expanding lead and that the Republicans should prepare to lose and then when the Democrats lose, it Voter Suppression, Russians or some other crap.

If Trump does lose it will be because of the Chinese effort to influence the election thru Coronavirus. It was only a few weeks ago when some of us were advocating Bernie since he would supposedly be easy to beat. Coronavirus is one reason you don’t do that.
