I know. Their resentment at the liberals elected colors everything that some people know about NYC. I grew up in Brooklyn, my 101 year old aunt still lives there. Our whole family loves Trump. I’ve voted the republican ticket since age 18 (held my nose for Romney & Noname).
There is so much cheating and so many brainwashed in some very populated areas that Republican victories are few & far between. We are each responsible for our own vote not for our whole state. It is better to build a grass roots movement than to just trash hardworking people who have Conservative values but live in a blue state. Lots of Black, Hispanic and 1st generation Americans from all over the world are seeing the promise & success of the Trump Presidency. There is always hope that after this disgusting performance of Leftist Government even more people will see the truth & walk away.

I suspect this will be the straw that breaks NYs back. People were already leaving. Now it will turn from a flood to a deluge. NY simply doesn’t have a viable business model.

I understand you being tired about people blaming entire states for their crap policies. I’m in Colorado and my area is quite conservative, but we have a gay governor who thinks he’s Stalin. Luckily I can work around most of his stupidity, but not all.
Good luck there, it ain’t always easy living around a lot of liberals. That’s why I left the big city ASAP and moved to where sane people are still a majority. But not everyone can just up and do that.
We in Upstate NY (Ithaca area myself) would be thrilled to have that blood-sucking (and tax-dollar sucking) monstrosity excised from the rest of the state. Let it become its own state. Hell, let it become its own country.
And if that happened, I wouldn’t be surprised if Upstate went solid red in the next election cycle.

I’ve lived in Queens my entire adult life..... If you’re using the word “normal” in regards to political views, then there are a lot of “abnormal” people out there all over the country....but as far as other forms of behavior, There’s no question in my mind that the population of Queens has become a lot more normal over the past several decades... and we have the immigrants to thank for it.... Back in the 1980s, there were tons of crazy old White people in Queens.... George Constanza’s parents on Seinfeld was an understatement of the actual reality.... One time my parents were visiting from Florida and we went to an outdoor concert.... My dad asked me “are there a lot of retarded people here?”..... I said “no, it’s Queens”...... Now all those old people have died off and what’s left are there slightly less crazy offspring..... Meanwhile, all the immigrants are totally normal and fairly young..... The downside is they are much more Liberal
