This thread has fallen... Just a data show now...
Excellent point! There has been some data on patients that have now to use dialysis because of kidney failure. IF there is a hidden morbidity factor the ;authorities’ sure seem to want that kept secret.
Interesting ... and doesn’t China have an over abundance of males?
“Singapore relaxed their controls. Now they have the second wave.”
Yep. It was never about climate, in spite of the vain hopes of many of us. It was always about containment.
It still is.
You could be right, but I hope not.
My concern is for all younger Americans.
They will never know this country as we knew it.
We may be forced to open the border to Mexico, just so we will have the workers that we need.
Finally, some truth from Sweden?
“We may be forced to open the border to Mexico, just so we will have the workers that we need.”
Cut back on that extra $600 a week, a lot of people will be ready to work.
My cousins work on the farm during the harvest time back in the 70s and early 80s, then Mexico show up.
Looks like the normal Sunday and Monday drop on Worldometer. Those will show up Tuesday and Wednesday.
My oldest is banking his now if you know what I mean. He wants kids someday.
Tyson Foods raises coronavirus alarm in full-page ads, defends safety efforts
“The food supply chain is breaking.”
Katie Shepherd,
The Washington Post
April 27, 2020 | 10:56 AM
In a full-page newspaper ad published in The Washington Post, the New York Times and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette on Sunday, Tyson Foods which sells products ranging from frozen chicken nuggets to cuts of raw pork said that the coronavirus pandemic may disrupt the U.S. food supply chain and raise the price of meat.
The company defended itself from criticism that it has not adequately protected its workers and pleaded for more government assistance in doing so.
The food supply chain is breaking, wrote John Tyson, chairman of the companys executive board. We have a responsibility to feed our country. It is as essential as healthcare. This is a challenge that should not be ignored. Our plants must remain operational so that we can supply food to our families in America. This is a delicate balance because Tyson Foods places team member safety as our top priority.
The company warned that shuttering processing plants would cause millions of pounds of meat to disappear from the markets, reducing whats available on grocery store shelves and raising prices. Farmers may have to kill and dispose of cows, pigs and chickens that were bred for the closed slaughterhouses, the company claimed, and those animals meat would go to waste..

Green Bay meatpacking plant linked to 189 COVID-19 cases closes and a federal investigation is underway
John Diedrich, Milwaukee Journal SentinelPublished

A meatpacking plant at the center of the COVID-19 outbreak in Green Bay was temporarily closed by its owner Sunday, the latest such facility to be shuttered across the nation as federal authorities investigate safety at the operation.
At least 189 cases have been linked to JBS Packerland, Brown County officials said Friday. The plant is among five such operations nationwide ordered to close after workers tested positive for the coronavirus.
The closure comes as the number of Wisconsinites who have tested positive for COVID-19 grew by 224 Sunday the fifth day in a row that new cases exceeded 200. The growth has been attributed largely to the meat plant outbreaks. At the same time, testing has been increasing, state data shows.
Coronavirus identified on two mink farms in the Netherlands
BusinessCorona
April 26, 2020 - By Robin Pascoe
Covid-19 has been confirmed in mink at two fur farms in the Netherlands, the agriculture ministry confirmed on Sunday. The animals were tested after developing a variety of symptoms including breathing difficulties and because there was a higher than normal death rate, the ministry said in a statement.
Officials decided to test the animals after several workers at the two farms were also found to have coronavirus symptoms, although they had not been tested for the disease.
The farms, with over 20,000 mink between them, are in Beek en Donk and in Milheeze, both of which are in Noord-Brabant, the epicentre of the Dutch outbreak and the heart of the Dutch mink industry.
The public health institute RIVM has sealed off an area some 400 metres around each farm to walkers and cyclists as a precautionary measure, while saying there is no risk that the virus could be spread to humans. However, air and other samples are being take to check if the virus is spreading and to find out more about it has moved among the animals themselves. There are currently no indications that pets or farm animals have a role in spreading Covid-19, the ministry said.

“We went inside the GM plant making coronavirus face masks. Heres what it looked like”
The report, by the Health Service Journal, refers to an urgent alert issued to doctors about the new syndrome, following a rise in cases over the last few weeks.
According to HSJ, the alert said: [In the] last three weeks, there has been an apparent rise in the number of children of all ages presenting with a multisystem inflammatory state requiring intensive care across London and also in other regions of the UK.
There is a growing concern that a [covid-19] related inflammatory syndrome is emerging in children in the UK, or that there may be another, as yet unidentified, infectious pathogen associated with these cases.
The syndrome, which is yet to be named, can cause several unpleasant symptoms, including abdominal pain and cardiac inflammation, according to the report.

ABILENE, Texas The Abilene Fire Department reports 36 firefighters tested positive for COVID-19 during the past 72 hours.
They are part of the 222 total cases reported by the City.
An additional seven members of the department are in self-quarantine awaiting test results.
My first job at 14yo was on a mink farm in Illinois (I got kicked out of school).
Mink are some mean animals and if they get a hold of your finger in their jaws, they do not let go and will tear your finger to shreds.
Now, if they also have the virus, God help the workers.
This is why I wonder if the meat packing problems may be coming from the meat itself. Arent they now saying that pigs can catch this virus too?

I’m 53, and I’m already using a supplement for low T. This disease, if what you’re saying is true, could basically turn me into an old lady for good.
That $600/week does sound unnecessary, until one of the unemployed gets a serious case of Wu Flu and the medical bills start to pile up.
