The Curve Has Been Flattened, Now Set Us Free MR. Trump
self ^ | 4-22-2020 | Uncle Sham

This nation was totally shut down for ONE reason. That is what we were told at the time. That reason was to "flatten the curve", meaning to enable time for our medical capabilities to catch up with the need for treatment. There is ample evidence that even in our worst hit area of New York City that this in fact has been accomplished. The USS Comfort, provided as an overflow hospital option to the city in the heat of the battle, has been sent packing and according to New York is no longer needed.

Across the country, hospitals have plenty of ventilators available and beds to treat those who are infected. We also have found the drugs that provide treatment for the infected to the degree that most who catch the virus will be cured in less than a week.

The goal originally presented to this nation has been accomplished. Now they want to shift the goal post by using the issue of "testing" to keep this nation shackled. Baloney. Set us free Mr Trump. If not, you will lose many of us for continuing this unnecessary charade at our nation's expense.

That this virus was politicized by the left does not mean that THEY get to control it's response forever. Trump was backed into a corner with this and has played along but now he needs to do the right thing for the people of this nation. End the shutdown. There has been enough carnage. He has a limited window of opportunity to do so himself and be given the credit for doing so before the masses themselves simply disregard their government, including him, in ALL facets.

Could have been so easy.

“Where are you going to go?” Who knows?

“Are the many aware you speak for them?” No.

‘Flattening the curve’ was meant to prevent an overburden of hospital patients all at the same time; that was the plan, and that has been accomplished. It is NOT disease prevention; it is disease postponement. People are still going to get sick, perhaps fewer. Some people are still going to die, perhaps fewer. But continued confinement of the Universe until the danger passes is an impossibility. Wear a mask or not, Tinder hookup or not; acknowledge the risk and choose how to live your life.

"Where are you going to go?” Who knows?"

I gave you more background than that. Are you entirely satisfied in believing that "if" the people take control of this on their own that everything will just be back to "normal" with the governing bodies returning to their respected and obeyed by the citizens roles? I have doubts. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this wasn't the planned end game by those currently in charge. They want anarchy and are stoking the flames if you pay close enough attention. I gave you my answers. Choose to stay asleep if you want.

If the people ran this country there’d be no legal immigration, there’d be no imported foreign nationals stealing our white collar jobs via H-1 and blue collar jobs via h-2 visas, there’d be a huge import tariff protecting American jobs and wages and I could go on and on.....

"He didn’t lock you up. talk to your local governor."

Trump claimed total authority over the shut down a few days ago. He was actually incorrect but still made the statement. He does have considerable weight to push around if he wanted to reopen the economy and could be leading by example instead of allowing the shut-down twins, scarf lady and shorty pants their daily message of keep it shut to be broadcast every afternoon all across the country. He had the power to back the governor of Georgia rather than shoving him under the bus like he did. Trump, as President, can greatly influence public perception towards demanding an end to any unnecessary shut downs. The people are waiting.

One of the obligations is Safety for all Americans.

Really??? Where is that in the Constitution? You might be an adolescent in an adult body incapable of making health decisions for yourself but I don’t need mommy and daddy government to take care of me.

Do you need your governor to come and tuck you in at night so you can sleep better?

What other normal responsible adult behaviors are you incapable of without your elected officials leading the way?

Gee I distinctly remember it was our Governor, John Bel Edwards, not President Trump who locked the state of Louisiana. Oh that's right, it was the Governor's of each state that locked down their state. Perhaps that is why people are protesting lock downs at the Governor's houses in their state, and not protesting in Washington D.C. in front of the White House

President Trump never locked anyone down, period.

It's truly a sad day when one realizes Uncle Sam is clueless about what he rants about.

Donald Trump mimicked the iconic Uncle Sam poster to warn his fans of the Democrats

The average age of most freepers must be 75 to 80. As a group they are, for the most part, acting like scared little girls. I never knew pre-COVID, when you get near the end we all at some point, regardless of our gender, turn into little girls. Sad.

The states that shut down much economic activity were some of the Democrat states more full of government employees, NIMBYs, HOAs, ports receiving foreign products, tourism, expensive entertainment and vices. Switch to manufacturing much more on U.S. soil, building much more housing, and shut down the vices that decrease productivity and drain taxpayers (e.g., drug abuse).

Stop the hitchhiking foreign virus, and become real Americans.

Gee, I remember a "15 days to slow the spread" white house press briefing where the scarf lady, shorty pants, and President Trump asked the Governors to do this as they see fit. All of this on a national level started with that press conference as states then followed the lead of Trump and his team mates. I guess this never happened.

And they will politicize every single detail until election day...of which they’ll want to be entirely mail-in so they can cheat.

This is the perfect “damned if you do” situation. PDJT is a workhorse, you can see the range of issues he’s informed on, made decisions on, and the press just can’t stand it. He *knows* he’s on top of it which is why he’s confident enough to go in front of these morons every day and put up with their “gotcha” questions.

He’s right, this is the most difficult decision he’s ever had to make. They can always argue he made a decision a day early or a day late. Pathetic.

If we think the media is pathetic today it’s only going to get worse as we approach November. Enjoy the sh*t show. I remember thinking in December 2016, “wow, this is going to be such a sh*t show”. Just think of the last four years, the insanity we’ve witnessed - it’s going to be worse!!!

The left is consumed by the radicals and will deliberately harm *everyone* to get their way. It’s the communist way. They’ll use cherry picked stats as an excuse all day long.

I’m in Michigan. It’s insane. Every day that passes shows that we can manage it all and the numbers are starting to get better. Therefore, every day that passes is an argument to go back to work - recommend the risk groups stay at home. Looking at our bell curve, we’ve peaked. Given the incubation period, the drastic behavioral changes we’ve made, the time the virus can last on surfaces, the mitigation practices most are willing to adhere to...every day there’s a legitimate question to open up a State.

PDJT knows all this better than anyone. I thank God that he is POTUS. I’ve also been on both sides of the fence regarding the shut-down. There’s the ‘science’, when we didn’t have adequate data - so any ‘model’ is probably not accurate. Now we do and the reality is, this thing is extremely virulent and can be very dangerous to risk groups - of which there are many. That includes my parents, in-laws, friends, etc., as I’m sure many of us still have.

That all said, for me, my conclusion is to go back to ‘normal’, knowing the first thing we should do before leaving or entering our homes is to wash hands. I’ll be wearing a mask, for your benefit as I may not know I’m infected (masks aren’t about protecting the wearer). Keep the curve low, allow as many to live as possible with sensible but minimal impositions. Any longer and the cure is worse than the disease.

I guess /rant.

The more conservative states already plan to encourage more spending activities in time for summer. Looks like it’s only the more left leaning, libertine states that are making the case and death numbers go up so fast.

https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com/en

United States

Cases 856,133

Recovered 78,474

Deaths 47,995

Well that is still not President Trump ordering a lock down. It was as the Governor saw fit. Something like 7 states did not order lock downs at all.

Just like you can't blame me, as I voted for the candidate, Eddie Rispone that ran against John Bel Edwards. Living in tangipahoa Parish, I already have his brother Daniel Edwards as our sheriff, whom it seems is impossible to remove.

President Trump did not imprison anyone thus it is not up to him to set anyone free.

Brush up on the concept of federalism before you next vanitize.
