Trump and his buddies held a press briefing that they called "15 days to slow the spread" in which they encouraged state governors to enact whatever lock downs they deemed fit for their individual states. Are you saying this had absolutely no effect on how the states handled this virus? Why have a press briefing if they didn't feel it would be followed or listened to? They set the tone. In addition, the tone was further set before this briefing when the NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA and a host of other sports leagues allowed President Trump to brag about their efforts to confront the virus. The individual state governors weren't the ones touting this news to the nation. It was President Trump. In a Presidential election year, who do YOU think the media will hang this shutdown on?
