Fasting May Reduce the Risk of Cancer
WILX ^ | Apr 22, 2020

Researchers from Baylor College of Medicine suggest fasting from dawn to sunset may reduce the risk of cancer and other illness.

They did not eat or drink during daylight hours, but had no calorie restrictions outside of that time.

After the 30 days, their blood samples showed an increase in proteins, that protect against cancer, obesity, diabetes, and even some neurological disorders.

But don't change your diet yet , or without talking to your doctor. Researchers say larger and longer studies are needed.

The study was led by researchers at Baylor College of Medicine and published in 'Journal of Proteomics.''

“KETO”

Basically a form of intermittent fasting. There is, after all, a reason why fasting for health dates back longer than recorded history.

Sounds like the Muslims had their say in this one... at Baylor.

As far as I know, all major world religions have some type of fasting.

There was a time when Christians fasted and prayed.

Yes, but fasting from sunrise to dusk is exactly the way of fasting according to Islam during Ramadan.

So you think everyone who does that is evil?

I could be wrong, but I think Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.

Anyway, you are very misinformed about intermittent fasting. I've never heard of one that gets up before sunrise to eat. That would defeat the whole purpose. They fast from dinner (or lunch or breakfast) the previous day. I defy you to find any who get up before sunrise to eat.

But nice attempt to smear fasting. You got anymore?

And therefore if you fast that way (I do, it’s called intermittent fasting) ergo you must be muslim?

I also eat one meal a day. Supper.

If you have seen the ‘fast breaking feasts’ posted on instagram and other social media you’d know that what muslims do is the letter of the law but not the spirit of it. The 3000 calories they consume after the sun goes down WAY WAY WAY negates that they didn’t eat during the day. Eating a LOT of food, close to bedtime is a really bad thing to do too. They eat from sundown to sunrise. Super bad to do.

I eat at 6PM, for an hour.

My A1C last checked was 4.9.

I’d recommend they put a gun to their head, pull the trigger and they won’t get it either.

Makes about as much sense.

Did anyone ping you?

I was briefly watching Fox 10 Phoenix today and they had on someone talking about ketosis being very effective against CV-19.

Cutting sugars had added benefits, but ketosis helped cells better process oxygen, and with CV-19 interrupting oxygen processing, ketosis improved survival.
