My uncle got angry this morning on the phone. Said more police officers should be yelled at regarding Coronavirus enforcement and because they are not protecting and serving their communities. He says people should listen to BLM. I think he is off his rockers, but is he right about a big police-civilian disconnect?
Police sign up to enforce the laws on the books.
There are many unfair and unjust laws.
Police still sign on to enforce these laws whether they are good or bad.
Therefore, there cannot be any good cops because they are voluntarily enforcing laws they know are wrong.
If there are so many good cops, why do they close ranks to protect their own nearly every time one of their number does something unlawful?
All the police need to do is start following the same rules every other human does, and eliminating the lawbreakers within their ranks. That would go a LONG way in re-establishing the public’s trust.
Cop-bashing? No, I am telling the hard unfortunate truth. Try to refute anything I said above.
Yes indeed!
Puffy, why do you feel the need to write a thread every time a member of your nutty family opens their mouth to queef ?
No, it’s the Benevolent League of Moops. If you wanted it to be something else, you needed to say so. Up for grabs, now.
True.
Leave Wyoming alone!
I almost spilled my non existent drink.....
Well I guess standing down when Trump supporters were
taking their lumps last election
Arresting people with their kids in parks
Leaving Muslims alone when harrassing Christians
Is serving and protecting
Sure sounds like your Uncle is a useful idiot for the criminal democrats, assuming I read what you wrote correctly.
JoMa
They serve the state and protect their pensions.
Take a breath, compose yourself, and add some relevant info if you are asking for info instead of just venting with incomplete thoughts.
That was an excellent post, FRiend.
What law are the police enforcing by raiding allegedly non compliant businesses and running sting operations on hair dressers and nail salons and closing beaches and trails and generally just imprisoning people in their homes on the very tenuous theory that this is actually going to save peoples lives?
The police are generally pretty lax in enforcing speed laws and jaywalking laws and 30,000 people are killed every year in their cars not to mention the hundreds of thousands of people who are crippled or maimed.
No matter what precautions are taken, you are going to be exposed to this virus. If not today, then tomorrow or next month or two months from now.
This lockdown was meant to slow the spread so that the hospitals could be equipped to deal with the critically ill. Well, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
Time to free up the economy before we have 100,000 suicides or drug overdoses (which will be counted by the bean counters as COVID 19 deaths just to keep the fear alive.
What do you have against Wyoming ?
I was going to say Montana as it is larger, but figured Wyoming probably has more BLM land. Wyoming is probably my favorite state. Alaska comes close, but nothing like having the wide open views that so much of Wyoming provides. Plus it is probably still the most authentic Cowboy state? Although I’m sure lots of places can make that claim.
” This will enhance social distancing and lower the population density in NYC.”
And it would ruin that state for ever.
