Thought this was a very concise explanation of composting. Going to start this year.

Take the Washington Post, tear it into pieces and let it rot on the garbage pile!

Start with Jim Acosta and 2 other Fake News liar...grind them up and dig a hole and sprinkle them in...then cover it over and start putting vegetable matter in a separate pile and letting it ferment...use the rotted vegetable matter to feed your gardens and wait for the Fake News pit to stat producing worms that can be helpful to keep a garden healthy.

Been composting for years - grow all of my veggies in rich, dark soil from my piles.
- Two 4' x 4' x 4' chicken wire bins.
- Ground up leaves, kitchen scraps (peels, coffee grounds, egg shells, etc) and chicken manure.
- Stir it with an auger once a week.
- Water it during dry spells.
- Twice a year I get about six wheel barrows full of dark soil.

Don't over-think this - it's just dirt.

Put all the fall leaves and daily kitchen vege and fruit scraps in the chicken coop.

Come spring, dig it all out and incorporate into raised beds.

Square Foot Gardening! Mel Bartholomew!

Throw a few earthworms in there, and they'll help you compost your compost, and you'll have an endless supply of fishing bait.

Good info. Thanks.

Here's a video that shows how to increase the speed at which compost breaks down and fertilize and aerate your garden bed at one time: Worm towers.

Speaking of compost, I was behind a septic tank pump truck. A hazard sign on the rear read, Caution, contains political promises.

Here's my former nursery/garden center/lscp contracting compost pile: 150-200 tons, and we turned it with a bulldozer 2x/yr.

When had my farm I used to turn office shredder material into the tomato & garlic patch.
Didnt go nuts just stirred it in a bit along cutting board waste coffee and egg shells.

One year I was in the woods and old barn the birds were making nests I could see and they all had my shredded documents woven in them. Saved one and still have it

Guess I didnt stir them in enough but thats OK I like the birds and T&G

What do you call a guy with no arms or legs in the yard in a pile of leaves?

Russel.

What do you call him after he dies?

Pete.
