Authorities cannot explain the sudden spike in one-way U-Haul rentals.

“””Fortunately for me I live in the state of Texas were no such restrictions exist”””

I live in Florida and spoke with my doctor last week and he said he would prescribe hydroxychloroquine should I need it.

If the FDA approved, I don’t see how it’s legal. But it seems a lot of Democrats are doing a lot of illegal things in the name emergency public safety.

They should be able to “try” before it becomes a life or death situation. If the governor cared.

It was reported by another FReeper that Andy told Hannity during last week’s radio interview that doctors were now able to prescribe HCQ.

“On March 28, 2020, the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to allow hydroxychloroquine sulfate and chloroquine phosphate products donated to the Strategic National Stockpile(SNS) to be distributed and used for certain hospitalized patients with COVID-19. These drugs will be distributed from the SNS to states for doctors to prescribe to adolescent and adult patients hospitalized with COVID-19, as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible. “
________________________________________________________________________

This was the Strategic National Stockpile drugs and per this is for “hospitalized” patients. Haven’t seen any changes to this action for outpatient use yet.

Not saying I agree with only in hospital use, but . . .

there was a ‘right to try’ edict that was passed country-wide, but cumo stepped in and said “Oh no you don’t! Not in My state you don’t! You have no right to try anything unless i approve it! And I will not approve this drug for off label use unless you are in our hospitals and on ventilators, or in my very limited 1000 person clinical trial that is already full up”

I can not believe that lawyers haven’t stepped forward for families citing ‘federal right to try’

I haven’t heard that his EO has been rescinded yet-

do you know did he mean doctors in hospitals only? and did He stipulate that htey can prescribe them at the first signs of virus when the meds do the most good?

Its time to hold them liable for as co-conspiritors in murder. There is no reason to ban a proven safe drug that works.

[[prescribe to adolescent and adult patients hospitalized with COVID-19, as appropriate,]]

“As Appropriate” is a very broad blanket- open to interpretation- people are dying without it- they aren’t even being given the consideration of whether their early case requires ‘appropriate treatment’

My primary care office said exactly the same thing three weeks ago.

Frankly I think they want to kill us.

That’s not what this action said. The group this statement applies to is “adolescent and adult patients hospitalized”.

This argument is not about what should be appropriate, it is about what this action said. I would agree that it would be appropriate to give this treatment to patients outside the hospital, but that is not in this action from the FDA.

If you are concerned about the coronavirus you may want to watch this on YouTube! I have become familiar with BHT over thirty years ago and have been using it off and on when some flu virus was on the lose, with good luck. What you see in this YouTube movie clip pretty well mirrors my experience. It may not be perfect, but neither are vaccines but it may help and fill in until someone comes up with the proper vaccine.

Follow the money. Fox is the only news outlet that anyone watches. No one watches PMSNBC or CNN.

So why don’t some Republican governors step up and tell people that if you can’t get hydroxychloroquine in your State because a Lib governor won’t allow it, they will honor out of state prescriptions in order to save lives?

I live in the Southern Tier of NY, right next to the “Norther Tier of Pennsylvania.

Although I live in NY, MY hospital is in Pennsylvania. My clinic (a fully staffed medical facility) is here in NY where I go to the doctor. They are directly affiliated with the major hospital in Pennsylvania. It is the CLOSEST MAJOR hospital in my area. Our local hospital is a community hospital.

Were myself or my wife to get COVID-19 we would travel the 38.8 miles to be treated in Pennsylvania, as we already do for anything important.

New York
“ No pharmacist shall dispense hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine except when written as prescribed for an FDA-approved indication; or as part of a state approved clinical trial related to COVID-19 for a patient who has tested positive for COVID-19, with such test result documented as part of the prescription. No other experimental or prophylactic use shall be permitted, and any permitted prescription is limited to one 14-day prescription with no refills.”

Pennsylvania
In response to COVID-19 and potential shortages of medications that may be effective against the virus such as hydroxychloroquine, pharmacists should verify the patient is confirmed COVID-19 positive before dispensing. Patients established on therapy or utilizing the medication for other diagnoses (e.g. Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis) should be able to continue to access without diagnosis verification. Smaller quantities of hydroxychloroquine should be dispensed to COVID-19 patients when appropriate to prevent potential shortages.
