COVID-19 was not the primary cause of death for Silverthorne man ( Colorado )

The Summit County Coroner’s Office has determined that COVID-19 was not the primary cause of death for the Silverthorne man who died last weekend and later tested positive for the disease.

On April 11, Summit County announced the death of a Silverthorne man in his 60s, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus after his death. On Friday, Summit County Coroner Regan Wood said the man had undiagnosed diabetes and suffered a diabetic ketoacidosis event that resulted in his death. The man also had coronary artery disease, which is related to the diabetes.

While the new coronavirus was not the primary cause of death, it is being listed as a “significant other condition” at the time of death, according to Wood. Because of that, the man still will be counted among the state’s COVID-19 deaths.

Senator Dr. Scott Jensen: Right now Medicare is determining that if you have a COVID-19 admission to the hospital you get $13,000. If that COVID-19 patient goes on a ventilator you get $39,000, three times as much. Nobody can tell me after 35 years in the world of medicine that sometimes those kinds of things impact on what we do.

Doesn’t matter - they’ll count it as COVID death anyway.

I heard on the radio yesterday that the Governor has been hiding death statistics as in how many of the deaths were from the elderly in nursing homes. Why, I don’t know.

NYC and the other Dem states are notching up their numbers by saying it is the virus when infact it could be other health issues .
Also notice the states with the highest casualties are all Dem areas.

Corrupt politicians, like Polis, looking for easy money..

NYC recently added 4,000 to its Wuhan virus dead by re-categorizing deaths… 4,000 people who never tested positive for the coronavirus..

As I suppose it should be. If it weren’t for the virus, the man would be alive today. It’s sort of like the case of a mugger who pushes an old lady to the sidewalk. The lady is frail, and she dies. If she weren’t frail, she probably would have survived.

Is the mugger still to blame for her death? Yep.

I will now take this opportunity to tell Red China to go to hell. The misery they caused is beyond comprehension.

And also notice all the states with totalitarian restrictions are Dem states as well?

Not quite. The panicked person made a poor decision. The frail lady in my example made no poor decisions. And I’m guessing the dead man in this story made no poor decisions either, unless you want to blame him for getting diabetes.

P.S. Red China to go to hell.

the question is, did having the virus make the person more susceptible to ketoacidosis death by weakening their body and lowering their chances of surviving it? Possible i suppose- people with health issues who would otherwise live for a long time to come, but under the strain of their diseases, when they get a virus, or the flu even, it weakens them more- lowering their chances of surviving the symptoms of their conditions-

I guess it’s like the smoker who had heart disease- do they die from the smoking? Or the Heart Disease? Smoking makes them more susceptible to dying from heart disease due to a variety of reasons, narrowing of arteries, hurting the lungs which supply blood flow mixed with oxygen to heart etc-

It could be that the smoking had nothing at all to do with their premature heart failure death, or that it did- Hard to know- but I’d think that the death cirt, or diagnosis of deeath at least, would likely list smoking as a ‘contributing factor’

but then the whole thing becomes ‘Well, they likely woudla lived another 5-10 years had they not smoked’ but we know people who smoke, with heart problems even, well into their 90’s- some in their 100’s who’s arteries look horrible during autopsy- I suppose one could say The 109 year old ‘coulda lived to 110 had they not smoked’ lol

Too many variables ot be 100% sure in many cases one way or the other-

Do not blame the person who has diabetes, heat disease, etc..

Do blame the government admins. who ignore the difference between dying from a virus and dying with a virus.. for easy money from Medicare (going broke).

Yes = P.S. Red China to go to hell.

Veteran’s families can lose benefits if their vet death is classified as a covid death instead of something related to their service-connected disability. Surprised the VA and veteran groups are not raising hell about this.

LOL.
Guess what is a common cause of diabetic keto acidosis?

Getting an INFECTION.

It’s really common for diabetics to “unmask”, ie have a severe diabetic episode when they get an infection.

BINGO.

“Undiagnosed diabetic”

Common cause of “unmasking” as a diabetic is getting some type of infection.
Can easily tip them over from mild to deathly ill.
