Monday morning Virus news is always very sobering.
I think I need more hard liquor in my coffee.
Oil is down 41% marketwatch.com
Ventured into Costco last night, 90 minutes before they closed.
No flour, no toilet paper, no paper products of any kind, no yeast...and no frozen pizza.
Now the the word has gone out that there is a frozen pizza shortage, the lemmings are going to hoard those.
Thankfully, they are big and take up a lot of space in a freezer so their asinine behavior will be limited.
90% of the people in the sotre in masks. All employees in masks, large plastic partition at check out and receipt checker behind partition and no longer grabs your receipt but looks at it through a clear plastic wall.
Dropped $600. Between that an the $400 I spent last week at Kroger, I shouldn't have to go for a while. (Included $80 for chlorine)
I have never spent this much money on food in my life. Except restaurant food. (:
Just saw a report, on FoxBiz....Dimartino Booth predicts a 12.5% unemployement rate, for 2Q
Others are saying 12%
:(
I have never spent this much money on food in my life. Except restaurant food. (:
= = =
Look how many MORE meals/items you have, with that amount of food, and for the money, versus restaurant meals.
here is an interesting story
it is reasonble to presume that Brooke has the same strain as Fredo since they work in the same office.
Her symptoms are completely different..although she doesnt have the lung issues either
its not directed to you
you were just the last post
Fredo the superspreader.
what is causing such incredible pain in these survivors? Is it the cytokine storm? The inflammation?
It is hard for me to see how this virus that so ravages the body doesn’t leave you with some kind of issues after you recover.
The more interesting thing is I really looking to seeing whether it resides in your body like Herpes or HIV...only to flare up later
And is the pain these people are experiencing worse than shingles..which I hear is pretty bad. Sounds like worse than shingles
he sure is..waiting to see if the Biker gets it from his wife when the family broke quarantine
I still believe we will recover. We may not be back to what we were before, but I believe when things open back up and implement their new “reality”, the economy will recover.
Some things HAVE to happen. Healthcare needs better PPE. We need lots and LOTS of testing. We need plans to quarantine endemic areas, not whole states. We need antibody testing.
This virus is going to be with us for a long time, IMO. The more companies that can implement safety measures, the better. Masks and gloves for employees, plexiglass barriers, social distancing for customers, UV air filtration. I also don’t know why most retail and restaurants can’t go curbside.
The industry that will be hurt the most is travel and tourism, I don’t see it coming back for years. However, I do believe the small farmer, home deliveries and mom and pop shops will make a comeback.
I may be too optimistic for my own good. I’ve just been brought up to believe that Americans are inventive and innovative and will rise to the occasion.
But from a faith standpoint, I also know that all things will come to an end someday, so I’m keeping my eyes to the skies.
are they wiping down the conveyor belt between people
interesting about the receipt checker...now you are going to get a lot of germs on your receipt.
conveyor belts are germ breeders and spreaders during normal times..let alone now.
I tell them to put my stuff in a box if they are going to take it out of the cart
I think so. Can’t remember 100%. It’s so super stressful going to the store anymore.
Again, I go back to when we all had H1N1, the body aches were off the charts. We all laid there dead to the world for days, just trying to find any relief from the headache and body aches.
Think of that.
A Barrel of oil, is cheaper than a PINT of Nancy's Ice Cream.
Reember when 0moeba, said, we couldn't drill our way out of energy dependence? Lying Muslim scum.
ALL things that POTUS and Task Force have said are happening, in multitude.
Agree about travel/tourism industry. Although...I did read that the cruise industry has a good amount of bookings, for 2021. Good for them, but....I wouldn't go on a cruise, before, and certainly won't ever, now.
Most of our retail stores are now curbside. You order online, and pick up at curb. Many are open to inside, too (Target was packed, the other day, when we did our curbside/trunk drop order.) Yep...Americans are innovative and it will be amazing to see the new biz's that pop up, from this.
Did you see where the kids/people turned the skate park - that gov't had filled with sand (in CA), into a dirt bike park? LOL...they took the new sand and made dirt bike trails/ramps.
Yes...eyes always on the skies.
I think there is a propaganda machine working over time to put out a lot conspiracy stuff into forums, small news sites and social media to discount the truth that has leak out.
I guess we need to double check each other to sort out the fake verses the real data.
China and others are trying hard to cover stuff up. That makes me suspect this was bio-weapon.
