Interesting. Do you have a title for the abstract? I can probably retrieve it

I wondered about the vegan diet as a risk factor for the Wuhan virus.

“Lots of evidence Corona spreads more in sustained transmission environments (think family member rather than fellow subway rider) but can also spread die to environmental factors (think cool moist air pollution)”

One thing helping the US may be the nuclear family - Grands are separated from their grandchildren.

YAY!
My Mom’s assisted living facili8ity has been covid free for 14 days.
They’re allowing mail.

Will be very relieved when I hear there is ‘sentinel’ testing there.

For your reference:

Can Vitamin C Prevent and Treat Coronavirus?

He said there is a push to get additional Chinese hospital groups to study oral liposomal vitamin C for treatment of the virus because oral forms can be administered rapidly and widely to large numbers of affected patients.

I also prefer liposomal vitamin C. A very good recent paper (SciHub):

New oral liposomal vitamin C formulation: properties and bioavailability

Great meme if the photo didn't look younger than Nancy.

Her high sugar consumption goes along way to explaining her dementia babbling.

Thanks for the links. Liposomal C is only exceeded by IV vitamin C for effectiveness. Clif High has been corresponding with Chinese doctors and bodybuilders using high dose vitamin C and Chaga mushroom extract. That combo has cured many patients in China and kept others free of the disease in a "hot zone". Body builders tend to be health fanatics and frequent users of supplements, so they are already healthier than average.

I have problems swallowing capsules. After playing ping pong with a few between my trachea and sinuses, I've opted for chewables as much as possible of late.

Awesome for you. Looked at my banks remote deposit capability. They dont allow checks from the IRS to be deposited by image remotely. My conclusions are that banks have not changed one dang think for us during our shelter in place time. Only handing out our own money in loans to skim off some loan fees. Why do we even have these old corrupt houses ?

“I just don’t know about the latest reported finding. Too many obvious errors in the reporting.”

Thanks for your detailed review and reporting back. I think the reports you shared way back when (it seems like three years rather than ~ 3 months!) seem the most reliable. I just don’t see why the methods to destroy the Covid-19 virus would be much (any?) different than for SARS or MERS, or even the standard flu.

I’m thinking there might be some safety factor involved. With the flu that can make you really sick but rarely die - safety factor of 2. With MERS which has a higher death rate - a safety factor of 4 or whatever. And with Covid-19 being more easily spread than MERS warrants a higher safety factor? Or perhaps just because it is in the news so much?

Yes - that would be good. There was the recent information coming out about how regular sunlight destroys the virus fairly quickly (3 minutes iirc???). So just hanging the clothing you wore out in the sun should do it.

I did read a study with the normal flu and on normal clothing the virus was destroyed in 20 minutes for most fabrics. The fabrics dry the protective envelope by wicking away the moisture around the virus and the virus is destroyed.

We just wash most of our clothing after wearing them outside. But earlier with coats and stuff I would just hang them up in the garage and hope that these studies are accurate and even the hardier Covid-19 virus would be destroyed in 10 hours over night.

“A Connecticut man broke into a restaurant that was closed due to COVID-19 and spent four days eating and drinking...”

Back when that show “The Walking Dead” (zombies) first came out my kids would dream up ideas on where the best places to live would be. Costco was pretty much ideal.

Hard to barricade oneself in Costco when they are still open. A restaurant though..... Smart thinking. Well, except for the getting caught part.

I have heard that fruit bats have been involved in some of these carry overs into humans. Like us these fruit bats cannot produce their own Vitamin C but get it from the fruit. Our lungs have a lining which contains Vitamin C and other antioxidants. Bad viruses cause a rapid drop in Vitamin C in the body. I suspect this is part of why the lungs are affected so badly, and one of the reasons I favor therapeutic use of Vitamin C. I wonder if scientists can find some common denominator in biochemistry that we and the bats have that is making this linking possible?
