I ended up watching It Chapter 2 on the free HBO/ Cinemax weekend on Direct TV.
I actually really enjoyed it, which I was not expecting after hearing the reviews. I’m glad I watched it, because I really liked Chapter 1.
As far as that star studded celebrity crap goes, I’d rather watch on off TV.

Earlier reporting by CBC on July 14th (see below) stated Dr. Xiangguo Qiu and her husband and an unknown number of students were escorted out of the Canadian Level 4 lab. The Canadian government had been investigating them for months and had evidence there was removal of unauthorized material from Winnipeg to China. From the little information allowed to be publicly released it seems there was intellectual property or technology leakage. However, the important aspect of this is that this group was involved in setting up the Level 4 lab in Wuhan.
