I saw one video a couple of weeks back by an American who can read Chinese that Shi was the one exposed to the virus via blood and urine, she died and was taken to the crematorium, where her body infected crematorium workers.

The person stated that the initial outbreak came from a location not associated with the wet market at all.

Yeah, I don’t know. A lot of regulars quit posting. And I am thinking of discontinuing the state by state updates as I’m not sure they are very helpful. Plus, there is at least one person trying to get me banned from FR because I “have an agenda”. Not sure what that is other than providing info.

I hate to ask again, but we’re you the one that had a link to good masks? Hubby contracted someone to make 100 and they were a disaster 😩... the cotton shrunk up and the ties are ribbons and just slide off peoples heads. What a disaster. I’m interested in any cloth mask provider, meds to be reasonably priced and quick turnaround

That person is crazy, and seems to like to pick fights with people.

Have a look at her posting history, not a very good person at all.

I’m glad I’m not her spouse.

I’m out and about in the yard today.

Also cleaning this and that closet and reorganizing.

I think people have become polarized in this matter. Those of us who don’t think it’s a common cold are going about our business wondering what comes next. flubros are angry posting.

‘we’ are supposed to open back up monday, we’ll see. Hopefully we will do so and all will be well.

Oilfield hand neighbor got official notice he’s laid off for good this week. That won’t be improving even if ‘we’ open back up. As long as India and other big importers stay shut down it’s a no go for the oil patch.

And my friend who had the dress store won’t open back up. Nothing coming in from China. She can’t even get in touch with her contacts there. Phone numbers ring off the hook and nobody answers. So she’s jobless for the forseeable future as are her salesgirls. Although for them they’ll just have to wear ‘old’ fashion as most of them worked in exchange for clothes.

The barber will be seeing customers again. He’s been house dad while his wife works.

Everyone is planting a HUGE garden. Which is a good thing in any circumstances. Even IF you have a job and lots of money, growing your own healthy food is a good thing. Plus exercise.

Chicken houses still hauling chickens, cattle farmer still cattle farming, nursery lady has sold ALL her food bearing plants at this point. So has the local tractor supply. No seeds to be found in the county.

they are doing shields now too

the masks do not have a metal strip but you could rig it

https://composite-resources-mask.com/

I have worn my mask once. It might cause a problem with sliding down the back of your head because it ties and hair is slick.

But they are well made

Those state/state updates take a lot of time.

I ordered some yarn from a lys this morning. When I’m not in the garden/yard this summer, I’m going to make Christmas gifts.

Still hoping the high tech stuff either ships from china or we find somewhere else to make it. Hubby’s job depends on that.

I do eat hot dogs on occasion. All beef with no fillers, particularly hidden sugar. Some call it dirty keto. It works. Just no carbs.

It would be informative to see a state reporting agency breakdown COVID-19 mortalities by weight (normal, overweight, obese, etc.). I doubt that will happen.

Agreed, plus Sarcopenia (muscle loss) amongst the elderly. This will indicated abnormal HbA1c even if BMI is normal.

Thanks for the update from your neck of the woods. It does take a lot of time to post state by state updates, and I am thinking most people already check their own state health sites. Maybe I’ll just post Georgia lol. The raw numbers don’t mean a lot, just the trends one way or another. Anyway...

It’s a busy time for us too. With hubby self-isolating with his job, a lot of the farmwork is falling on me. Things are picking up with the garden now - food (and weeds) are coming in. Time for all my animals vaccinations and worming, deep cleaning the barn, roof repairs, fence repairs, etc. it never ends. My teen is so allergic to hay he is no help🙄

Still working on the chicken/fox situation. Hubby bought a fox call and is hunting him at dusk. I am getting ready to install a second fence around the chicken area that will allow my Pyrs to be able to walk all the way around. The fox is scared of them, even though they are not full grown, so just a way for them to patrol all the away around should work 👍

I don’t think GA will open soon... they were one of the last to close, so we have cases in every county now. South GA is still getting slammed. My county doesn’t look bad on the state dept page, but on the scanner it is hopping so I don’t know...

Time will tell. Economy wise, my older brother in his late 60s is still working, as essential, as is my sister’s husband who is in security, my other brother (field engineer) just got laid off, but he is a type I diabetic and very at risk so it may be a blessing in disguise for him. My husbands store is doing probably half the business as normal, but better than anticipated. He will not have to lay else off, good news (he only had to lay off a few part time teens)

Still here. Just not worth the time to deal with the deranged FluBros that still can’t stop themselves from posting stupid things.

They are encouraging the breakout. Bet they won’t even apologize when the surge comes and we start losing HCS and HCW.

I want my life to get back to “normal”, too, but I’m not going to kill people over it.

Glad your hubby’s store is doing better than expected. Hopefully the teens will recover and find somewhere else to work when this is over.

WE just got pushed out another week.

However, they have reopened some of the local waters for fishing, just not the parks (issues with keeping the bathrooms sanitized)

Also any non essential businesses can open IF they do curbside pickup or delivery. Which is good. Even beauty supplies and the like.

So we’re open for business but attenuated.

We’re the most ‘open’ closed state right now.

Local mom/pop pizza place doing curbside pickup and making bank.

Our state is set up so that we can get everything curbside, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, etc. goi g to pick up fence curbside today.

I think these common sense measures make so much more sense than shutting it all down.
