you can begin loosing weight today, 20 lbs in first 3-4 weeks is entirely doable. Doing more and keeping it off is much harder. Very few succeed without help. How do I know this? I was near obese, lost 60 lbs. and have maintained my weight watchers lifetime goal wait now for six years. You have to change, completely what, how, and how much you eat, forever.
It is a wonderful change, if you get the help and support you will need.
Is it easy - no. Less than 25% of Weight Watchers reach goal. Less than 5% maintain goal weight for five years. Is it worth it - yes. I have had my right knee replaced/repaired 3 times. First one wore out after 12 years of hard use. Second time it didnt work out, a year later fixed. Losing the weight was absolutely key. I hike/ hunt/climb mountains/work and walk all day on the farm. I am going to be 68 this year. Now if someone could fix my back . . .
I was young and stupid.
I should have walked out the door that day and never looked back—I lasted three years at that place—the worst job I ever had—total disaster that could not be fixed.
A lot of mayors and governors must feel like that these days....

Early peek at data on Gilead coronavirus drug suggests patients are responding to treatment
By ADAM FEUERSTEIN @adamfeuerstein and MATTHEW HERPER @matthewherper APRIL 16, 2020
The University of Chicago Medicine recruited 125 people with Covid-19 into Gileads two Phase 3 clinical trials. Of those people, 113 had severe disease. All the patients have been treated with daily infusions of remdesivir.
The best news is that most of our patients have already been discharged, which is great. Weve only had two patients perish, said Kathleen Mullane, the University of Chicago infectious disease specialist overseeing the remdesivir studies for the hospital.

Why did the W.H.O. Ignore an email from Taiwanese health officials in late December alerting them to the possibility that CoronaVirus could be transmitted between humans? Why did the W.H.O. make several claims about the CoronaVirus that ere either inaccurate or misleading....

FREEDOM IS STARTING TO BREAK OUT - “Pressure to stop devastating the lives of hundreds of millions of people will grow inexorably. Minnesota is a classic instance: our governor shut down the state on the basis of an alleged model that claimed 74,000 people would otherwise diebut only 50,000 with a shutdown! In fact, there have been fewer than 100 deaths, more than two-thirds in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. If our government had shut down access to nursing homes and assisted living facilitieswhich it didnt effectively do, apparentlyit would have saved more lives than the absurd cessation of economic and social activity that our feckless governor implemented.” - https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/04/freedom-is-starting-to-break-out.php
Why are Paul Manafort and Roger Stone still in prison?
CDC reviewing stunning universal testing results from Boston homeless shelter - “Of the 397 people tested, 146 people tested positive. Not a single one had any symptoms.
It was like a double knockout punch. The number of positives was shocking, but the fact that 100 percent of the positives had no symptoms was equally shocking, said Dr. Jim OConnell, president of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, which provides medical care at the citys shelters.” - https://www.boston25news.com/news/cdc-reviewing-stunning-universal-testing-results-boston-homeless-shelter/Z253TFBO6RG4HCUAARBO4YWO64/
Whoa... Is that a recent photo? Best thing about this virus is the lack of traffic in D.C. / B-more area when I go back and forth to work...
Supposed to be rush hour yesterday. Here’s another anecdote from NYC - The Lockdown Is Loosening Whether Government Likes It Or Not - “On my essential walks which I take daily to the grocery or the bodega, I traverse an overpass above the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. For the past month traffic has been spare, an emergency vehicle here and there, not much more. That too has changed. While it has not returned to the soul crushing bumper-to-bumper standstill that makes the BQE infamous, the number of cars coursing to and from Staten Island has built up everyday.
What is important and telling about the differences in peoples behavior this week is that no city or state government policies have actually changed. The people of New York themselves, and from accounts across the country in other places as well, have simply decided to loosen the guidelines for themselves. We tend to think of the idea of the government existing through the consent of the governed as being about elections, but it is about more than that, the successful lockdown of New York City was not enforced as much as it was consented to.” - https://thefederalist.com/2020/04/16/the-lockdown-is-loosening-whether-government-likes-it-or-not/
That is wild. So what is the difference between homeless and nursing homes?
Sunshine?
Fresh air?
Not on all the meds?
Rather dead in here today...
