Center for Science in the Public Interest

Remember that name. They are the food police. They are an advocacy group which has little to nothing to do with science, and everything to do with politicizing food choices.

Here’s a top pop-up on Google for them:

by David J. Hanson, Ph.D.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is not a science center but, by its own admission, a public advocacy action center. 1 Reflecting this is the fact that one of its web site awards is for being the “Political Site of the Day.” Not surprisingly, it hasn’t won a single science award. 2 The Center for Science in the Public Interest is much more interested in sound bites than in sound science. 3

CSPI’s “Science”
Most of the CSPI’s “science” hardly reaches the level of a high school science project. And high school students don’t have a political agenda for which they distort the evidence or misrepresent the facts as does the Center for Science in the Public Interest.

Perhaps that explains why CSPI has such a long history of disregard for truth and accuracy. For example, in trying to get Congress to tax...

Someone please point out to me where Mike Obama got his/her power and authority to meddle with school lunches to begin with?

[[The 2012 rules required schools to transition over time entirely to whole grain-rich options and gradually reduce sodium levels.]]

IF a Rule can be made, it can be repealed- there is NO law dictating that kids must eat whole grains- This judge’s ruling is asinine- We does this judge get off dictating that the ‘rule’ the obama admin forced o n everyone must be permanent?

Aw jeez. Now they’ll blame bad school lunches for producing grossly obese minority kids who will become vulnerable to future bugs like COVID-39, COVID-40, etc.

How dare the Federal Government let the states abide by what ever standard we want, we need no choice.

“The U.S. district court in Maryland this week said the administration did not give adequate public notice of the change”

Fine. Give public notice as of today and have the change put into effect next upcoming semester.

Get the federal governmen out of setting any such standards.

This is a matter for localities and states, and if their voters do not demand it of their elected officials, that’s the end of it.

How did it become a “federal” issue? They used the federal aid to K-12 education as contingent on following federal rules, even rules from agencies like the agriculture department, through which the federal K-12 education money for school lunches is funneled.

School is for learning not eating. Personally I don’t think we should have cafeterias in schools at all. Its a giant waste of taxpayer money. Kids should bring their own lunch or if they don’t have a few sandwich and drink machines at reduced prices. Provide tables and chairs. All these poor quality lunch cafeterias are costly and half the kids won’t eat it anyway. Its lunch for God’s sake!

Apparently, Federal judge-president George is running the nation's nutrition programs...

This little 0bama puke will be torturing us for another 25-35 years.

He's young.
