Probably the biggest hit of late 75 or early 76 from this one hit wonder Scottish band.

Howard Cosell thought they were going to be the next Beatles.

He was wrong and I am not certain I will miss this song if I never hear it again.

Their song is better than just about any of today’s pop songs.

I think Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight” mentions “a Tennessee saturday night”.

During the 1976-77 period, "Rollermania" swept through my high school. It did seem for a short period of time that the Bay City Rollers could be the next Beatles. But they disappeared from the scene rather quickly. They just couldn't make any more hits or even write their own songs.

They weren’t a one hit wonder. They had six in the U.S. Top forty. Twice as many in the UK.

Their song is better than just about any of todays pop songs.Lol. Each generation seems to deprecate the music of the recent past.
I love the classics: Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Hayden, Brahms, Wagner, Chopin, etc.
IMAGINE how great their music is that today it is STILL performed.
THAT is music worth enjoying.
To: moviefan8
When did they remove horns from all popular music?
