You should read the article. Very little there to base a challenge on Constitutional grounds. Here’s the pertinent part: “Looking to case law regarding civil commitment, many scholars and some lower courts have concluded that isolation and quarantine are constitutional only when the government can show by clear and compelling evidence that they are the least restrictive means of protecting the public’s health. However, at least two federal courts reviewing post detention challenges to Ebola quarantines held that the standard was not sufficiently well established to allow the claims to go forward.”

Now, you may be of the opinion that less restrictive measures might provide sufficient protection of the public health but that’s a slender reed. If you look at the history of quarantines, specifically those enforced during the outbreak of the ‘Spanish Flu’ in 1918, that would be a very slender reed indeed.

The Constitution started to fade soon after political parties gunked up the system. The Civil War,Woodrow Wilson,two world wars,communist infiltration,liberal infestation,2 Bushes,Clintons and Obama plus 9/11 also didn’t help. This virus may be the final nails.
