When do you think President Trump will reopen the economy and enable us to go back to work? Early May? Late May? June?

I think once Trump decides do open up, Barr and the DOJ will swing into action and air the states who are violating our constitutional rights.

Depends on if its a red vs blue state scenario, power hungry governor tyrants or liberals feeding off the fear and doom and gloom mantras.
I think for the most part the people will say the heck to authorities and will just go out come next monday.

Nobody needs a rake with ten tines except police officers.
People who get rakes with more than one tine will likely step on them in the yard and hurt themselves.

I think it will start on May 1, but gradually, first in the areas and in the types of activities that are the safest. Some places and some activities may not yet be safe enough at that time. But also take into consideration that some governors and some mayors may not let the lockdown be lifted in their territories.

Puzzling thing is the spaghetti sauce and the ramen noodle soups are perpetually sold out. Am now wondering if there's a connection between the two - a sort of Asian/Italian fusion thing going on. EwWw.

Hopefully selectively in the next week or two. We are supposed to have a virus wave hit Virginia/DC/Md. during the next two weeks. If it does, and passes, then our stores should be allowed to open if they feel it is safe for their employees and customers.

Spacing is good. Masks are good. Hand sanitizers are good. Common sense should be one guiding arm. Sound medical observations about local conditions is a prerequisite other.

May 4th - Reopening of daycare facilities and schools.

May 6th - Reopening of businesses with work at home encouraged where appropriate for that business].

#44. Re “I’m busting out at Midnight. We got a tunnel under the laundry”.

Hope you make a clean get away. That would leave the police in a lather. Don’t forget to wash your hands.

May 1st...formerly known as Loyalty Day, when patriots would have huge parades to demonstrate their love for America.

It was the antidote to the May Day Commie parades.

I marched in many of the Loyalty Day parades when I was a young girl.

Maybe we can renew this old tradition.

It won’t happen everywhere all at once. Some states will have greater access to testing, and more labs, than others.

It may be up to individual counties in some states. LA county already extended its shutdown to May 15.

Where I am, people are ready to get on with it, so it will happen soon. The warmer weather is luring them out and about, and businesses are adapting so as not to violate social distancing orders.

Property tax bills just hit where I am, due May 15th. That gives everyone, including government, a wake-up call that we’d better get back in action.

I think the people will drive it by getting out more for recreation, and government will follow by realizing that business and tax revenue are not optional.

Firstly it is important to remember that the Governors control what happens in their States, not the Federal Government. Having said that, Utah just announced Drivers entering Utah will need to complete an online travel declaration form starting Friday. This is a way of clogging inbound traffic to make it enough of a nuisance people will think twice about entering. The downside is that interstate supply chain through Utah (whatever it is) will be delayed.

Meanwhile Cuomo noted: We have 9 million people we want to get back to work. You need more than several thousand tests per week if this is going to happen any time soon.

We know that Kushner is looking at a National Healthcare Surveillance system, and we know that the good doctor is out explaining we may need some form of immunization card similar to what happened during the swine flu.

There are a number of things that could happen including CDC imposing health checkpoints at State boundaries to slow down movement.

Despite Trump's desire to open immediately the consensus seems to be memorial day but given that July 4th activities are already being canceled and that the Fed Chairman is saying June/July, it seems more probable to consider end of June or July.

The one thing I know is there is a lot of uncertainty. Move too quick and we spike again. There is also a much greater than non-zero probability of a second wave hitting in late fall or nov/dec time frame. If we handle that one the way we handled this one, the economy is tanked and we go into a great depression. Imagine having to shutdown again for 10 weeks right at Thanksgiving? The unemployment would skyrocket.

Many people do not really appreciate the magnitude of what is going on, but they should.
