What a national disgrace. Allow me to question just a few of the ways our national disease control centers, with multibillion dollar budgets, have let us down.
Why isn't standard reporting procedures and the means to submit this very vital data already in place?! What have agencies entrusted with our national healthcare been doing all this time?! Why can't the information be made available to everyone with access to the internet?! Why does the CDC charge $6,000 for the data they do have and a written proposal for its use?! Why did our government give over $3,000,000 to researchers in China, for basically tinkering with dangerous biological agents?! Why did our government agencies tell the American people that respirator masks were not effective, knowing full well they are very effective in fighting the spread of diseases?!
There should be criminal charges when this is all done.

I think we’re pretty much on the same page on many points. But as you said, we don’t know what antibody immunity means yet.
Where we differ, if I’m reading you right, you propose we mix antibodied with asymptomatics at work. And I propose we sequester. the asymptomatics instead until they stop shedding. Meanwhile, some 60? 160? compounds are being looked at as treatments to at least limit the effects of the virus, which is the best we’ll ever do without a proper vaccine.
You’re right about govts and money. Our failsafe is, the worse it gets ‘out there’ the more investment in US treasuries which are 5-10yrs out in redemption. So we are uniquely positioned, as the leader of first-world nations, to buy a lot of time.
RIP. I don’t know but these first responder, healthcare worker and public servant deaths really tear me up... they know they are at risk and they walk into these circumstances day after day. When I listen to the scanner, I pray for each person going to each call (and the caller too)
