Cerebral palsy comes with a number of related health complications.
Not to be unkind at a difficult moment, but perhaps he really should have stayed home from work.
142 Chicago PD have it, 42 Firemen/Paramedics in Chicago have it as well. 1 CPD member has died from China Virus, he is being buried in a private ceremony today.

Sad. But he is likely among the minority who have brain inflammation from the virus.
None. And no pneumonia deaths either. It’s because of the bounty that the Fed Gov pays to hospitals for Covid-19 deaths.
I do not know of any underlying conditions and it was inappropriate to ask.
But you are absolutely correct. They should have prevented her from going in. But Giant should have also told her she needed to stay home.
It is hard to believe her duties included helping elderly use the bathroom, cleaning up after them, and then loading their groceries.

This is what I have been preaching since the beginning. The government says everybody self isolate and we will make the essential people protect and feed us while they are exposed to the virus we are hiding from. What is the economic make up of those deemed “essential”, were does the elite class fall?

How long was she on hydroxychloquine + zinc? That is never asked and never answered, so that mean it wasn’t t used. If it was, and she died, she would be front page news on how Trump drugs kill people. God rest her soul, but her death was more attributed to medical malpractice than it was COVID 19. She could have been saved.

She sounds like a very, very nice and kind young woman. She had cerebral palsy and (IIRC) was doing her job from her wheelchair most days.
Perhaps she should have stayed home, but this was her choice. Even her family knows how much people loved her and how much it meant to see her there. And maybe that’s really the important thing.
Most healthcare workers, police, etc make a worthwhile living to do so. Bit grocery workers, janotors, etc, not so much.
