Time to whip out the white T-shirt (white representing a reassuring aura of cleanliness) to wrap round my face going to CVS. Those “mask-only” regs will be implemented in some stores soon, I’m sure.
Generally speaking, I find people who will admit they were wrong about something are becoming a rare breed these days.
Maybe social media is partly to blame.
Every bit of mitigation helps, of course.

They’ll eventually be measuring it against Spanish Flu death rate (around 10%), then the Black Plague (around 33% at least) soon enough. But what I’m hoping is that it will really turn out to have a resolved CFR of .2 or .3 (or even less) when the CDC does its estimate of total cases, like it does for flu seasons. Unfortunately, it could be a bit higher than that. :-(

What ever it is about the virus that makes joints ache, makes me wonder if it is related to the process that makes HCQ or IL-6 inhibitors effective against the virus as anti-inflammatory.

Plausible, except it happens over a two or 3 month period in spite of the most extreme mitigations in the history of man.
