Their measure is this:

100k = bad flu

200k = really bad flu

300k = not as bad as 1918 flu

Plausible, except it happens over a two or 3 month period in spite of the most extreme mitigations in the history of man.

And you run out of places to put the bodies.

We surpassed H1N1 today in a little over 5 weeks compared to 15 months for H1N1 to kill that many people. And H1N1 mitigation was pretty much a hand-waver.

that’s when you stun them into silence by making a daily deaths comparison and ask them why will it take entire towns of 50K to die before they’re convinced its not the flu?

3 deaths a day from SARS (2002-03) (774 deaths/9 months)
12 deaths a day from Ebola (2013-2016) (11325/30 months)
105 deaths a day from ‘regular flu’ (2019-20) (19K/6 months)
USA - 107 deaths a day from CCP Virus (2020USA) (13K/4months)
WORLD 741 deaths a day from CCPVirus (2020) (89k deaths/4 months)

50K deaths a day from Spanish Flu (2018) (50M deaths/36months)
